Chapters Incoming & Brief Update

I've got three chapters ready to go, with at least two of them dropping today. I've been working them as a group to make sure everything is lined up the way I'd like since these are the final few entries in volume 3. I'm going to try and run them over with SRK a final time today and push them out as soon as possible, but I need to catch a few hours of sleep first.
I did a ton of writing this weekend and I'm really excited for volume 4. I did so much writing, in fact, that the 'L' button on my keyboard is all fucked. Every time I hit it, it drops two 'L's, which is infuriating. I nearly doubled my previous weekly record for writing. My hands also hurt.
Anyway, volume 3 had a lot of setup and the characters exploring situations that were a little different from volumes 1 and 2. There were a lot of softer progression elements, like developing political allies, gathering intel, reforging skills and gear, etc. That meant there were less calculable progression elements like levels and stats, and a decent amount of the conflict didn't involve throwing hands.
I think all of that was good, and I think it puts us on a solid foundation for the story moving forward. I plan to continue including that stuff, especially since FF is now on the world stage. HOWEVER, you can expect more solid murderhobo growth happening in v4.

I liked the different tone of this book, but I’m excited for a simpler “see enemy, kill enemy, grow stronger” for the next one. Before going back to 3-way divine politics afterwards, of course.
