Good pod gents - I'd send this to the Chairman as a warning that you cannot take the loyalty for granted and unless they front load investment with competent people making the decisions, this club will lose its customer base!

2025-12-02 15:45:38 +0000 UTCThe only thing keeping crowds from hitting the floor is the Season Ticket culture. I was a daft 15 year old in 1977 when I decided I wanted to watch Rangers week in week out and from then till Souness's arrival in 1986 I missed one first team home game of any description ( I was in a car crash on the way to the game). Rangers were poor for most of that time but I caught the bug, Rangers were an addiction but I was one of a very small number. There was no Season Ticket culture to capture the support so fans disappeared like snow of a dyke because Rangers were clearly the 4th or 5th best side in the country, fans just weren't prepared to watch rubbish. I don't think we are all that far a return of these crowds of under 20k because this current squad are the poorest in my time outside of the banter years, there is no excitement watching Rangers anymore.
