Here's the collaboration that was revealed in the latest devlog:

This collaboration has three different elements:
1. Melee system and Skrama knives
2. Modular rigs and plate carriers
3. RtV Support Patch (available now)

When it comes to merch items and selling stuff before the actual game, I think there's a thin line in terms of which is cool and which is somewhat "unethical".
I think this Support Patch idea is definitely leaning towards the cool category, but when it comes to selling more stuff, I think that's only acceptable after the early access, meaning when I have claimed some of the promises for the game (delivering the original vision).
Like I mentioned in the devlog, the main purpose of these Support Patches is to give me resources to accelerate the commercial branch (Phase 2). This topic is designed around those potential launch windows and how I could potentially start "ramping-up" the contractor work early next year.
Here's also a list where I'm eventually planning to spend this potential Support Patch income:
1. 3D Characters (Faction variants, faction bosses, traders)
2. Animations (Weapons, grenades, prone, fishing)
3. Voice acting (Traders, game intro)
4. Early access trailer (Multiple topics)
Also in the devlog, I talked about my decision to withdraw from all these publishing deals. Even though it was kind of a risky decision to turn down major financial resources, I truly think that was a right call.
Related to this publishing decision, I also need to thank you.
The main reason why I wasn't forced to take those deals is mostly because of you guys. You have supported this project and by doing that you gave me the "negotiation leverage" where I didn't have to accept any of those deals.
Without you, the end result could have been totally different.

Incredible work. I grabbed a couple patches (one for me, one for a friend who is a also a fan) to support and put on my kit. I foresee the choice to self publish to be a net positive and will hopefully avoid what I see kills passion projects such as RtV.
