Grenades Update

Hi!

Here's a little update related to grenades that are coming to the commercial branch.

Since it has been a long time when I handled grenades in the military, I had to gather references and kind figure out which grenades would be suitable for the early access and game lore / factions.

Early access will include 4 different grenades:
- M43 (Old Finnish grenade with modernized handle)
- M50 ("Rare" mortar-shell based Finnish grenade with modernized handle)
- RGD-5 (Old Soviet grenade)
- F1 (Old Soviet grenade)

Thanks to your support and support patch sales, I'm able to outsource this entire grenade system to current contractors (modeling, textures, animations, audio) and I can continue working with shelter customization and other commercial features at the same time.

I should be able to showcase some first teasers about the grenades end of this month or early next month.

ps. I will share you an update mini tetris dev build tomorrow with most of the bugs fixed and some new features.

I love the way Antii does his loot system - however he decides to implemented grenades, I feel like it will feel right. When looting in a "civilian" area, they would be extremely rare (1%) if at all. So the bandits in these areas also shouldn't be carrying them except in very rare instances. As you move east, they become more common for both player to loot and AI to carry.

Curious to hear what you think prevalence of grenades should be. If they are common, and assuming enemies also use them, any engagement that outlasts an initial contact would come to who gets flushed out of cover first. STALKER gameplay features this extensively, even to the point of nade spam. On the opposite, if they are a rare and valuable tool, the player would have to consider carefully if and when to use a grenade, and respectively being on the receiving end would be a rare but dangerous situation.

Except for coding I'd guess yes

Hell yeah to the ability to outsource this! Is this the first thing that's been completely done by contractors?

Woo! Can’t wait to have these available. There’s been numerous times where if I had a grenade, I’d have finished combat in a second. Certainly makes clearing house so much faster.
