Feedback: Tetris item scaling and grid size Most items and their sizes make sense - here are a couple that IMO could be tweaked: Lets say that the basis for a 1x1 grid size item is about 20cm x 20cm. So 5x5 would be 1m, square. Using that as my basis, I would make the following arguments: – A standard military knife, like a USMC K-Bar fits nicely into a 1x2 grid shape, as you have it. Actual dimensions about 4cm x 30cm. So far so good. – Pistols: should be only 1x2 grid size. A Glock with no attachment measures about 14cm tall x 19cm long. Adding any barrel attachment would easily push this to a 1x2 grid size even though, arguably, the base pistol could be a 1x1. I don't think adding an extended mag ever extends the height of a pistol beyond 20 cm, so default should be 1x2. Either way, 2x3 is way too big for even the largest pistols. – MP5K & MP7: MP5K should be 2x2 grid size - (23cm x 32cm). MP7 with collapsed stock should be 2x3 - (18cm x 42cm) because adding an extended magazine puts it over 20cm height. Now, extending the MP7 stock changes its length to about 64cm, but as pictured in-game, its not extended, so 2x3 is fine. – MK18 / MP5: these rifles are both 68cm long with no attachment. At a minimum, these two rifles should be the same grid size. Now, what size is that? 2x4, is my suggestion, just as you have the MP5 now. That should easily allow for any attachment. – MP5SD: this pushes the boundary of a 2x4 grid size. Actual dimensions 23cm x 80.7cm. But 2x5 seems too big. Maybe make an exception and keep this 2x4? – A RK 95 TP is about 94-95cm in length. Easy case for the 2x5 grid size. – Military helmet: 2x2 makes sense. Actual dimensions about 24cm wide x 28cm long (front to back) x 20cm tall. 1x2 would look and feel weird. – AK-12 / AKM - 2x5 grid (both are 92cm L) – AKS-74U - 2x4 grid (74cm L) – KAR-21 - 2x5 (85cm L with .308 barrel) – SVD - 2x7 (122.5cm L) with attachment this is quickly approaching 2x7 which seems crazy. – Mosin - 2x7 (123cm L) same as SVD, you could make the argument for 2x7. Maybe keep these 2x6? – VSS Vintorez - 2x5 (89-90cm L) – M870 Shotgun - 2x7 (128cm L) seems fair – Kukkaro hip pack - 1x2 (actual dimensions 20cm long x 12cm tall x 5cm wide). 2x2 is just way too big for this. – Jaakari backpack - your in-game image looks like the Jaakari M rucksack which, according to the website says its 52 x 25 x 17cm. This makes the argument for a 3x2 grid shape. I think you have 5x3 right now. There are bigger packs out there, like the Jaakari L rucksack (65 x 31 x 22cm) or the Jaakari XL 84 x 32 x 23 cm. The XL pack makes the case for 5x2 grid shape while the Jaakari L makes the case for the 4x2 grid shape. Just to give you some ideas. Going 3 grid squares wide doesn't seem fair if we're trying to be relatively consistent with scaling. Sorry for the long comment - hope you get some insight from it Keep up the good work - I, like may others, am super-excited for early access version - I know it will be great! edit: forgot one: Plate carrier - you could definitely find rigs that make the case for a 3x3 grid size however, as you have it, a typical LVPC should easily fit into a 2x2 grid. These typical carry a plate that is 25 x 30cm and there's not much more to it than that.
