Anyone get the number of that month that ran me over?

So September was started with dreams and asperations and ended with me crushed under reality.  The good news is I got a job at the post office.  It's good pay for my area, has benefits, and I should be able to do it.  That's my hope.  Because almost everything else has been a wreck.  About midweek I started getting a nasty taste in my mouth, followed by a tooth ache and then headache. I got a line of credit and went to the dentist for a new crown.  They informed me I'd need a root canal, which runs from 1800-2400.  If my insurance covers it, it'll be half that.  Still absolutely rediculous.  I dunno.  Apparently teeth are a luxury now...

I'll keep everyone up to date going into the job.  It's my hope that if I can disentangle work from writing I'll be more motivated to write.  Thanks everyone that's supported me and has stuck with me.  I hope to give you more stories you deserve soon.

Yeah. What sucked is that the dentist was like 'nope. This 700 dollar thing you couldn't afford? Well now it's a 1600 dollar thing you can't afford. I worked out a payment schedule for the root canal and put the crown on the credit card, but it just makes me think teeth are a luxury. Poor people don't get teeth.

Ugh, sorry to hear that. Had a root canal done a few years ago. Scheduled a visit about something else (part of my eight tooth broke off), but day before a different tooth started to ache me a lot, So I talk about it first, dentist checks it out and says that this tooth is practically dead and needs a root canal. So she digs in it, removes mash from inside the tooth,, and then puts something inside to sanitize it, closes it up, and schedules a visit for next week to finish the tooth. Oh, forgot to mention, that was in March of 2020. Few days later I got a message saying that all dentist appointments are cancelled until our ministry of health figures out health regulations for Covid. And seeing how my country's goverment is incredibly incompetent, it took them like 3 months to figure out safety measures. So for three months I was walking around with an empty tooth with something sanitizing inside of it. Now, at first, it was okay, but after 2 months is started to hurt, or at least enough to be noticable. Soon the pain spread to that entire side of my face. The last two weeks I would have to take some painkiller every day. When I finally went to the dentist, she went: "HOLY SHIT!" and quickly got to work. So, you know, that was fun. Ah, and as an extra, about a year ago I had to go to some mild physical therapy, and they told me almost my entire left side of my body was incredibly tense, and asked me about any special trauma I could have suffered on my left. Preeetty sure that tooth thing had contributed.
