Do you sometimes think if places that were your starting locations are still there, not just as they are but as they were. Now (maybe) far from you in time as well. I think HBO OZ did that. I also remembered Langoliers but there it's the whole premise.
I wanted to write about how the sand getting wet and watercolor waves distorting to imitate movement is really not necessary for a bg detail of a very short scene. But makes for a better stand-alone loop. I found myself knowing that what I want to add wouldn't be there in most animated series I like (logistics) but wondering how the same scene would look if filmed on location. Would waves add to the drama? Of course. Even for a 2 seconds scene.
