But that's only because he misunderstood and took what Oikawa told him in season 2 to the extreme. I wanna write so much more but I don't wanna spoil anything so part 2 of that comment will follow on a later episode…XD

2025-03-05 23:48:27 +0000 UTCi love that y'all addressed shirabu because yes, he is good!! and semi too, and i love how they both asked goshiki why hinata wasn't playing. shows they respect him as a player regardless of his ball boy status at the camp. also, you're right about kageyama's crisis! another commenter tackled that on, but one thing i'll say about it is: oikawa wasn't just complacent to his spikers, he did push them to be better as well which was shown through kindaichi and mad dog. it was a balance between the two, but kageyama didn't understand what he meant and thought he was only supposed to be complacent, which is why he's so confused. also !!! you're right! kunimi is besides kindaichi in all of the flashbacks, and if you re-watch episode 1 you'll see that after kageyama berates kindaichi, kunimi is there to tell him it was a good play and kageyama's set was the issue. there's actually a little extra light novel where kindaichi is comparing himself to hinata and pondering if maybe he was actually the issue and not the set, but kunimi got him out of that downward spiral and he concluded that he did his best and it wasn't his fault. their friendship is cute. and kageyama and hinata's is also!!! he said that to hoshiumi during the training camp too, the reason he told hoshiumi he was a great reference was that he was using hoshiumi as a reference to see how well hinata could do if he exploits his potential correctly. man couldn't stop thinking of how to get hinata to improve during his whole training arc LMFAO it's so endearing to me.

On one side is Oikawa who’s good at accommodating his spikers and Miya Atsumu who basically says it’s ok to be demanding to his spikers. I love how this show and the author really framed this conundrum. :)
