Hi Guys!
Another busy day of footage and we have some big builds DONE. Grassland lake, cave lake and cave river all shot with various angles and close ups as needed...
A bit of insight? These are what takes the time in photography. 2/3 of the shots are quick, easy and done in the first day, MAYBE day and bit for big builds like this 😄 - it's the showing off of the build that takes a huge chunk of time to do.
This is mainly because unlike for D&D I have to figure it out in such a way as I can light it well, get cameras where I need them, not block light with high bits around the edge like hills, and so on.
I LOVE getting these shots, and I think people watching really value them, so I think it's worth it for big projects given how it's still a small percentage of overall production time (2-4 days depending on complexity/number of builds) :)
You can also see here at the end the cave variants of the side clip-ons. Definitely the way I'm gonna do this going forwards. much better looking, and very flexible to add little variants if I want to (like these corner bits)
Well guys that's all for today, I'be got one more BIG build to shoot tomorrow, plus two smaller (in theory) ones and a few shots of me doing something in the kitchen (for reasons. you'll see 😁)
Once that's done It's on to the editing! And...building some boxes for the new tiles 🙄😄
