An introduction to "Yesterday"

Hey guys, let me tell you a little more about “Yesterday”, my first novel you’re about to start discovering, now translated to English, as a exclusive here on this Patreon, starting tomorrow.

I started writing this book in 2007 and it took me almost seven years to complete it. I had been writing another one (unrelated to this one) but decided to put it on hold until I finished this one.

This is a novel that required a lengthy but fascinating research process. What it's usually called “the Bible” of the book (a vault of notes, definitions, ideas, maps , outlined storylines, characters motivations, descriptions and thoughts) is alone longer than 100 pages itself. And all of that was me looking for a particular way of storytelling, not very descriptive or flourished, but with a more straight to the point approach in an effort to put more than a century of history in less than 300 pages.

To this day the story keeps growing in my imagination and new ideas and scenarios come to mind every now and then. This version you’ll be reading the following weeks is slightly different and evolved from the one on the Spanish paperback edition (which is already a fixed version of the kindle _digital_ first edition). I’ll be posting one or two chapters each Thursday (depending on the narrative at that moment) so I can catch up with the translation (I’m actually halfway of the book now), and this will be my challenge for this year, to finish it and after you have all read it, release it on Amazon.
