I adore this episode, I usually end up crying whenever I rewatch it aha. Something about the story just really gets to my emotions.

I love this episode, always a rewatch for me. Season 3 doesn’t really have any bad/skippable episodes, nothing on the level of farting aliens, the queen’s coronation, or the people turned into drawings during the olympics

I didn't remember liking this episode that much before, but watching it again it's definitely my favourite of Season 3 so far... but the last 6 episodes of this season are ALL excellent for me, and by a long distance better than the first half of the season - second half of Season 3 and the whole of Season 4 are peak Doctor Who for me! :)

The Macra (crab things) are actually another alien from classic who that only appeared once, in an episode that is now lost in the second Doctor’s era. Season 3 is pretty strong I would say (: and this episode makes a great trilogy of episodes 1X2: End of The World 2X1: New Earth 3X3: Gridlock All three episodes sort of part of the same timeline and involving the Face of Boe, and the destruction of the earth followed by New Earth (: You can basically call those 3 episodes the “New Earth Trilogy” lol. This episode is where I started to really like Martha. Just how like when Rose first didn’t take any crap from the Doctor and immediately go along with his every word when they first started traveling. Gridlock is usually a 50/50 episode. Everyone thinks something different about it.
