Dooski reacts... Indifferently, lol.
2020-09-29 17:57:04 +0000 UTCthis is about 60 years later set than the waters on mars episode so it makes sense for the technology here to be more advanced than waters of mars

2019-09-27 15:27:02 +0000 UTCWondering if youβre definitely looking to follow Torchwood and possibly SJA after watching Doctor Who, think you would defiantly like Jack in Torchwood.

2019-09-10 21:56:26 +0000 UTCBy far one of my favourites of 12s run
2019-09-10 21:31:31 +0000 UTCI was going to mention this is EP 1 and it may upset people to know this if they don't already π but i recently found out that in many opening title sequences in s9 and some in s8 the music and the visuals of the title sequence don't match up. I never noticed it for years but now i do it really annoys me, this episode featured an out of sync title sequence as did E1 and idk how the production team fucked it up π

2019-09-10 17:07:54 +0000 UTCLogical sure, but they come off as a 'gimmick' because we know they aren't going to last. The screwdriver is an iconic part of the show, removing it felt like they were trying to aleviate the problems fans were having, that it can do too much and is used to solve too much plot etc but then they just make the glasses do the exact same thing except now even the limitation that the Doctor has to hold it is gone. The Sonic does have a mental UI, what with the amount of settings it has, how it has no info displays on it and the obvious 'point and think' feature. Making it voice activated (which it apparently is to some degree) and not require the Doctor or user to touch it would be too far.
2019-09-10 15:44:40 +0000 UTCThey are logical, though. Why would you have 1 of your hands unusable, when you can wear shit that's mainly used for scanning and unlocking/locking shit? Although I'd still say that for a member from a supposedly advanced species, the Doctor doesn't seem to use mental UIs for his sonics, for some reason, even though logically he would have done this the first time he ran into a problem where he couldn't physically touch the sonic (like Deep Breath, for example, where he even REMARKS that he shoulda made it voice activated. But this then would make no sense, since he could quite easily make it mind-activated, thus circumventing any fuckboi enemies who also mute him via restraints over the mouth.

2019-09-10 10:57:59 +0000 UTCOne of my favourite two-parters and not just of the season, perhaps the show. I don't really know why. Yea, the sonic glasses are...well, interesting....I hated them years back when this season began. I've softened on them as of late. But no, screwdriver is so much better. Also this is set AFTER waters of Mars...this is 2119 while WoM was 2049
2019-09-10 07:52:43 +0000 UTCVery underrated 2 parter π
2019-09-10 00:42:03 +0000 UTCEspecially liked the cards, with one based on leaving Sarah Jane in the wrong end of the country when the Fourth Doctor had to take her home.

2019-09-10 00:07:20 +0000 UTCIt's 1am here and I'm actually being sensible and downloading this for morning. Probably... π But I really loved these two episodes.
