This episode had so much pathos! Maeve, Kimiko, and even Homelander and Butcher had some vulnerable moments. The stand out, though, had to be The Deep and his gills. Never thought I'd see the day I would feel bad for a corrupt superhero tripping on shrooms and singing through a breakthrough. By the way, remember the doctor with the dogs? How he mentioned that Homelander should have been raised by people that loved him instead of an empty room with scientists? It just hit me that this is the exact scenario that Ryan is going through! Although it's way unethical and artificial, it is a step closer to a classic Superman upbringing.

2024-09-06 01:00:45 +0000 UTCThe first time I watched this I was wondering why Huey was so aggro towards Butcher but after seeing again, I agree he is being an ass. He didn't even tell them until now about how and why he was back so they had to believe this whole time he was randomly framed for Stillwell and got away. And he only told them because they stopped following his demands. I get he wants to keep Huey in check but punching him for something he didn't even know about in the first place was messed up
