Adventure RPG 2-18

> Offer a massage to Myla

You step over to the bed and ask Myla if she would like another belly rub or some sort of massage. You do, however, feel this is a bad idea.

The beastkin stays quiet for a moment. "No. I just wanna sleep, alright?" Well, that didn't go as badly as you thought it would.

> Go talk with Jates

You tell Myla that you're gonna go look around the inn for a bit. "Alright, just... stay in the inn, alright?" She pokes her head out of the covers a little. "I still got a bad feeling about this whole thing." You assure her that you'll stay in the inn. You head out the door as she goes back under the covers.

You head down to the front desk and find Jates relaxing behind it. He sees you and greets you with a smile.

"Hey, figured you were up there having some proper fun with Myla." He laughs. You tell him that Myla doesn't really seem to appreciate his humor. "Hah, yeah, well it's all harmless fun, ya know." You ask why he teases her so much. "Have you seen how she looks when she gets flustered? It's just too fun." You do have to admit, it kinda is. Regardless, you let him know that she seems to strongly dislike him cause of it. "Eh, it's just her being a hardass as usual." He shrugs. "I guess I'll calm it down some though. Anyway, ya need anything else?"

You nod and ask him about Malor itself, and about how Myla says it's too quiet. "Oh, well that'd be cause of those wealthy guys who came in from Erada. They've opened up the mines again, so most of the townsfolk are up at the workcamp to the north. The roads still pretty overgrown, so they only come back to get supplies and stuff." Jates leans back in his chair. "I figure the town'll pick back up in a month or so once they get the road rebuilt properly. Or when the new owners fail to find any new ore. It'd be nice to actually have some industry here again though..." You ask about the wealthy people and wonder if they might be the shady people Myla spoke about. "Well, I wouldn't call them shady, really... More like... Well, you can tell they're just in it for the profit. They don't really care about the town itself. If they get the mines opened up again proper, then they can stand to make a lot of cash. And if that happens, Malor is back on the map, so really, it's good for the whole town." You agree that it does make sense, though you kinda wonder what would make Myla think they were shady.

You also ask about the old man Myla mentioned before. "Old man? She's probably talking about Dulstaft. He's helped her out a couple times." He shrugs. "He's some old loon who claims that he can talk to the goddess. Nice guy, I guess, but completely crazy. Wouldn't bother me so much if he wasn't so strong. He's some sort of pugilist monk or something, and I can tell you, he's got one hell of an arm on him. He's like a hundred years old and can still knock a guy out in one punch." You admit, you weren't expecting the old man to be some sort of skilled fighter.

"Anyway, it's getting late, so I think I'm gonna get some sleep." The innkeeper stands up and stretches. "I wouldn't advise going out into town this late. Malor is civilized, sure, but it still ain't the nicest town." You nod and wish him a good night. With that, you head back up to your room.

Walking in, you hear Myla quietly snoring on the bed. She does at least seem to be a pretty heavy sleeper, so you don't have to worry about accidentally waking her up. She seems to move a lot in her sleep when she isn't pinned under her own overstuffed belly, as she's already thrown the covers off of herself.

This reveals the fact that her top has failed in its valiant effort to keep her breasts covered. She must have moved it in her sleep, as one of her breasts is fully on display, and the other looks like it will follow soon.

You now have the opportunity to do something incredibly stupid. You can also just go to sleep, either with the beastkin or on the floor. If you sleep in the bed, you'll be pretty close, but there's enough room for the both of you. You doubt you'll get a very good rest on the floor though...
