Tales of the Multiverse: Two Heads Are Better Than One (Page 15)

Well that's it for this illustrated story.  I'll be focussing on the next one now.  It's about a jockey girl who decides to join the Centaur Racing League after growing too large to be a jockey.

Desert Heat

Another from the found archive

"You sure about this?" asked Arizona. Her boyfriend seemed to be packing awfully light for a week in the desert.
"Of course," he assured her. "I've been doing this every year for nearly five years."
"But don't we need water and food?" she noted the lack in the small packs he had loaded in the apartment's front room.
"The desert has lots of food and water if you know where to look. We'll be living off the land for the most part." View Post

Butterfly Girl

Another of the stories from that discovered archive.

Stephanie had always loved butterflies. When she was four and five and six, her Halloween costume had been a butterfly. Later, she'd branched into fairies and princesses, but butterflies were still always her favourites. She could easily spend hours watching them. Where her friends (and particularly boys) would spend hours at the TV or on the computer, Stephanie (at least in the summer) could always be counted on to b...

Protagonist for Illustrated Story

Jaymerich (DeviantArt) has commissioned me to build a sequel to one of my older stories.  The girl discovers she's to heavy to race the way she is and arranges to join the Centaur Racing League instead (even over the objections of her parents).

The pages will appear as I create them for Merfolk only.

One With Your Fears

Another one from that old archive (with a new image)

Eeeeeyeeew!" Karen screeched jumping away from the small creature in her kitchen. "A spider! Come kill it! Kill it quick!"

Her shriek brought her boyfriend running. With a sigh of disgust over her response, he encouraged the creature to crawl up on his hand and headed for the door.

"There you go, Wolfie," Fred smiled. "Go catch your dinner out there."

His reception, far from that of a conquering hero, sur...

Golden Nereid

Another from that archive!

“Get the lifter on that rock!" a concerned voice to your left shouted.
"Right chief. Cables are on it," came the calm response.
"What?" you tried through a croaky voice.
"Ms. Vennasa? You're with us again," came the calm reply.
"What?" you tried again.
"The rock face slipped. Your legs are under a slab of rock," the voice announced.
"The dive? Next week?"
"Won't be one. Sorry. Six months at bext ... likely a year."

A Good Scratch

Another of the stories and images from that discovered archive.

Bridgette had dropped out of school in grade 10. It had seemed the right choice at the time. She was always fighting with her mother and her father was a stupid fool who refused to take his medications. He was domineering and she had hated that, too. So, on her sixteenth birthday, she'd walked into the Legal Aid office at the local mall and filled out the forms to have herself declared an emancipated teen. ...

The Summer Job

Jobs were hard to come by on the Peninsula.  Nearly all her friends were gone now, gone for the summer or longer, to take jobs elsewhere.  Eliza didn't really want to go out there for a job but there was nothing near home and she needed to save money for next year's tuition.  Time and again, she found herself trudging to the local Employment Office to see what was available.  Most were either low paying or required skills she just didn't have.

Finally, after nearly f...

The Swimming Suit

You know how you're always complaining that your swimsuit goes to pieces in chlorine?" asked Crysta on morning.
"Sure. Material just can't handle swimming pools," replied her roommate Rita. "Why?"
"There's a swimsuit company looking for a model. They're claiming theirs are the most comfortable suits ever. Fit like a second skin ... so they say."
"What's this have to do with chlorine?" Rita was an out-of-work model and any job would be worth going for.
"Seems they actually have swi...

Hopper Girl

I can't remember if I uploaded this here or not.  Anyway, it was created while I waited for renders on the Multiverse story to complete.  More detail in the images as things happen in the story is making the renderer take quite a while (sometimes up to 10 minutes!)

Harp's Magic

Another from that old archive.

Today was an anniversary, of sorts. Twenty years ago today, in that clearing, you met him. You still weren't sure who or even what he was. Smallish (less than 60 cm), greenish (clothes as well as skin) and strange (pointed ears, clothes that looked like something out of a fairy tale). You'd surprised him as he struggled desperately to rescue a female version of himself from beneath a log. You used your large size and relatively great strength to raise the ...

Korperstieb

Another of the stories and images (rebuilt of course) from that old archive.

Anniana was out foraging.  Most of the women were, of course, in the shellfish beds just off the shore of the village of Fingalfin. Those beds were becoming played out.  They really needed to find a new source and let those ones recover.  That was a bigger problem than might first seem though.  Their oral histories told of the fall of sky rocks that had destroyed the evil wasters of the past...

The Bath Oil

It had been a rough day. The office had been hectic with the new orders for their latest clothing line coming in by the hundreds. It had meant an early start, Diane couldn't remember whether it had started at 7AM, 6 AM or even earlier. Now it was nearly 9 PM and she dearly wanted a long soak in her jacuzzi. Damn! She remembered she'd run out of bath oil. You just couldn't soak completely without a fragrant bath oil. She turned her car towards the strip mall where her favourite body pampering ...

Jungle Changes

Another from that discovered archive ...

It had been a strange hike through the jungle. Vicky, as part of her biology field study, was studying the local forest floor ecology. Unfortunately, she got lost. Equally unfortunately, she'd forgotten her compass. What's worse, even though her GPS was working, it was giving strange readings on occasion. She was starting to distrust the thing. That it was the only link she had back to her base camp was the only reason she hadn't pitched the thin...
