Early Access - Grassland Road Tiles with new accessory system!

Preview - Grassland Road Tiles! Realistic roads, still modular :)

Hi Guys!

I've more or less got the video edited now, I'm rendering it as we speak, I'll hopefully have it uploaded soon for you guys (then I can fiddle with tags and whatnot tomorrow).

This video is something I've been wanting to do as part of the grasslands series since I released it, and is part of the reason I started making outdoor terrain into tiles like this - it allows you to have your scatter terrain sunk into the earth, rather than awkwardly floating on top of it :)

Hi guys!

So, a quick update. This project has hit problem after problem and though I was aiming to have it ready for Monday, it seems entirely likely it will miss that deadline and be a few days after at least.

I'm trying to keep up the quality of my videos, including only releasing content with new things in it where possible (new techniques, new systems, new experiments, etc, as opposed to making things that have been made before).

Patreon Bonus Video - Stone Walls Magnetic Upgrade Tutorial!

Hi guys!

So I wanted to pull this together as a Patreon exclusive video because it's a bit niche for it to do well in the algorithm as a full YouTube video, and is an entirely optional upgrade, not a core part of the system :)

Doing it this way also allows me to complete little videos like this faster, which lets me make them alongside main sequence videos without slowing that down much...

And of course, lets me give something more unique to those people who are awesome e...

Turns out you can make some really cute little cottages with the new T junction pieces...

Unintentional, but hey, I'm not complaining!

So the roof tiles of the T junction haven't been drybrushed, but you can see the basic idea of the smaller version here, the dormer front (the wood bit with the beams) can be removed and it just clips onto the side of another roof :)

Preview - work continues on the new video!

Hi Guys! What you see here are my two completed prototypes for the new roof system addition, and the version I've been building on camera once I was sure that method would work (no sense wasting time getting tons of angles of the wrong method...)

As you can see it lets you make smaller buildings from very few tiles, and this is just the tip of the iceberg in terms of what you can do with them, especially once I show of the T junction pieces...

I thought I'l drop in an update as it'll be a longer stretch than usual between videos due to me taking a week off over Christmas to spend with family.

Christmas! Livestream! Polls! Basically what's going on :)

This is also apparently an experiment in how long I can make a post title...

So yeah - my apologies for it going private so soon after finally getting it up, it's a YouTube thing it does when scheduling it, it wont let me have it visible for you guys while it's scheduled for public release in 8 hours because...reasons?

Early Access: The only dungeon stairs you ever need to craft - Stairblocks

Hi Guys! Apologies for getting it out this late in the day, I unexpectedly had to spend a full extra day doing extra editing and rerecording certain things that I'd accidentally recorded in 60fps and the wrong shutter speed, which was going to cause all kinds of problems...

Hi Guys! I'm yet again hard at work on a new video that adds a whole new system for creating modular terrain in different environments, this time taking a crack at (as requested in the vote) making the only set of stairs you might ever need...

The idea with these two simple pieces is they basically allow you to build in a way that should be familiar to anyone who has played Minecraft, Portal Knights, 7 Days to Die or any videogame like that. Or Lego, I suppose, though that is a bit diff...

Early Access: Fixing two BIG Problems with Modular Tiles - The Cottage

Hi Guys, 

Well, another larger-than-it-was-intended-to-be video is out the door and comes with a TON of improvements to the system, including more or less removing the need for card tabs entirely, and making roof tiles even more flexible!

I'm also working on potentially magnetising accessory slots, because if I can get away with it without needing a ton of magnets in every tile, you can be sure I'm going to...

but that's an upgrade for another video..

Hi Guys, I've been hard at work over the past 2-3 weeks on this latest video, but it upgrades the core system in two ways and fulfills a vote by Noble Patrons :)

The videos shows not only the peasant cottage style wattle and daub tiles as voted for, but also shows how the system can be almost fully magnetised and basically all but stop using card tabs if you want to :)

These are improved versions of the cave floor tiles I showed in the mountainblocks system, with some awesome new features I couldn't fit into that video:

Improved magnetic connections, that I'll be expanding into the building tiles in an upcoming video if my experiments pan out (I think I figured out a way to do it!)

Quick update/ETA - Lockdown issues.

Hi guys, just a quick update on the next video. It's looking awesome, but I've run out of the superglue I need to complete it and do the photography/editing, so it's likely to be at least Friday before I get this uploaded to Patreon  as I need to get it delivered (we're in lockdown again)

In the meantime I'll be working on the next video, so it shouldn't impact too much, but it does knock the release of this next video back on patreon so I wanted to let you all know :)

I Hate Flat Grasslands. So I Fixed Them W/Luke @Geek Gaming Scenics !
