Log Bridge (Public)

Fit for a high-stakes ambush, or a simple shortcut for those wishing to cut a few hours from their travels, this suspended log bridge makes for a simple encounter map for the dextrous members of your adventuring party, and a very wet one for those who prioritized strength or intellect over nimble feet.

I've spent this month illustrating tombs and asymmetrical interiors, so I felt like mixing it up with something a little more outdoorsy. I hope it brings some welcome variety to...

The Rose Inn, Interior (Knight)

As promised, the interior of the Rose Inn from last month, complete with dining barrels, a gilded brass icon in the floor, and, I hope, some warm, homey vibes after spending so much time in cold dungeons in search of gold and blood.  I also, crucially, remembered to add some privies to this building, so there is no need to ask me where people go to take a dump on this one (seriously, how many of you guys are tracking your characters' bowel movements?)

Desert Tomb, Arena of the Twin Monarchs (Public)

Stone guardians in the form of anthropomorphic hounds flank the central landing of this mausoleum. Glimmering gold, gilded pots, and etched tablets arrayed in the corners draw the eye of greedy tomb raiders, but not more than the large statues staring back at you, over a pair of coffins, one male, one female, from the other side of stake-laden pits, below narrow stone walkways. Small holes in the walls flicker with skittering insects, and this far beneath the sands, the deathly silence of...

Desert Tomb, 2nd Floor (Knight)

The centuries have slowly eroded and decayed this place, stone halls collapsing under thousands of pounds smooth, velvety fine sand that falls in thin trickling bursts from the cracked ceilings with each step. That dark ritual took place here, so many years ago, and why did the architects of this last resting place position traps and dangers, in addition to those made by the threat of collapsing passages? One thing is certain. The path below must be tread carefully, if one does not desire...

The Cavern Baths (Knight)

Steam and the soft sounds of sloshing water and drowsily relaxed conversation float through the large stone chamber. Large pools kept full of warm water from natural hot springs below the earth are filled with bathers relaxing, and private baths in the back are curtained off, attendants moving to and fro with pitchers of warm water, washing cloths, or towels for paying clientele.

The perfect place to relax after an adventure, or perhaps just a place to catch a well-guarded criminal or c...

The Rose Inn (Knight)

I needed a break from desert-style maps that I've been working on as part of the Desert Tomb series, and made something with a little more green and color involved.  Tinkering with perspective again, I wanted to tabletopify this gorgeous inn by Hyunsu Cha and got a little carried away. I'm feeling good about it.

I'd like to follow up with a map of the interior next week. Let me know your thoughts!

Desert Tomb First Floor (Knight)

The chambers below reveal a slowly sinking tomb, crumbling and collapsing into the sands all around. Tales warn explorers and adventurers to avoid such places, and the hieroglyphics on the doors do the same. This place is collapsing, and worse, the air positively tingles with magics so powerful that they maintain their efficacy even now, hundreds or thousands of years since their inception.

If the crumbling floor or cave-ins aren't dangerous enough, perhaps the stone guardians ru...

Desert Tomb Exterior (Knight)

I've been reading through the suggestions from the poll I took last month and noticed a lot of great ideas, and a few common ones. One has been a request for more desert-themed content, another, for connecting maps that form a larger dungeon, and another for tombs that don't fit the standard Western Fantasy genre. I also wanted to make a dungeon buried under the sands, ancient and deep.

So, I...

The Cave of Caer Bannog (Knight)

Dark whispers about the legend of the Cave of Caer Bannog are known by... well, mostly one person these days. Tim the Enchanter sits upon a rocky parapet nearby practicing his dark craft, and warning knights errant to steer clear of the Cave of Caer Bannog, where the Holy Grail rests.

Those who wish to tempt fate, however, should follow Tim into that rocky waste only if they be men of valor, for the entrance of this cave is guarded by a creature so foul, so cruel, that no man yet has fo...

Cliffside Crawl (Knight)

I played a game of Reign of Winter once, where our party had to scale a sheer cliff face, attacked by darting fey with icy weapons, where the greatest danger wasn't the blades in their hands, but the fall that waited if one failed to maintain their tenuous grip in the heat of battle. It was such a fun and interesting combat, changing the dynamics of how our party typically functioned in battle, that I wanted to make a map that allowed for the same experience.

Dungeondraft pack of Ruins Assets

Okay, I think I have done this right. Let me know if I've done it wrong or there's something I could've done better in converting these for Dungeondraft. I've only done some simple tests but they seem to work.

Patrons only! Community-suggestion map

In my never-ending quest to exploit you all for your excellent and creative ideas, let's do another community-suggested map. What are you into? What would just be fun? What would be useful in your game? I'd love to hear your thoughts.

As always, give ideas you want to see a 'like' and I'll take it into account when I select which one or ones I decide to make.

I'll leave this up for a week or two, and then check back in to see what you've all come up with.
