Hey everyone~ So the content I had planned for Sprouting Basil's Parts 2 and 3 were actually rolled into the main series via Issues 3 and 4. Whoops! A lot of what I wanted to talk about in the prequel would be redundant, mainly things to do with Basil's past and meeting Carolina.
As such, I decided to rewrite Sprouting Basil as a self contained prequel to reflect the overarching theme I wanted to talk about with the three parts -- basically, stuff that hasn't been roll...

What is the Laguna Bonus Scene?
It's a scene being injected into Issue 2 after page 57 - the last moment with Abe and Basil on the pier.
The purpose of the scene is to demystify Laguna's character and give us a little more insight into him before Issue 3.

I hope you've enjoyed Basil 2! No author's note yet though. Im saving that for after I'm finished with the Laguna pages~ (Which -- are up next week! We're not QUITE done with issue 2.)
Still, I want to thank you all for supporting me while doing this. It's been an absolute thrill and I'm super excited for 3.
We're skipping pages 3-5 because they're basically the same as the original scene where Laguna and Carolina have pancakes.
Here we meet Nile properly, who is a minor character but someone who becomes a smidge important later in the series.

Okay, we're going back to an earlier scene to redo it. This one with Laguna waking up. I decided to make an establishing shot of Laguna's apartment a standalone page so it won't distract people when put alongside Basil and Abe being romantic on the beach in print.
Secondly, there's a new detail where Laguna is woken up by Carolina knocking against the door on the next page. This will tie into the new character being introduced later -- Nile.

Last name reveal. It means "Earthen" in Spanish. It's not a typical last name, but most names aren't typical in this world.
Next week's pages are issue 2's last pages.

March is looking pretty packed! Important things to note:
I've added vote symbols to show when voting will begin on a pinup. March is a pretty packed schedule and Basil II will end this month.
