Jacko Vs. Deimos fanart > Step by step

I detailled the color process too here. But the main stage is obviously the shading! it took time and it really improves the action and helps identify clearly the characters & what's going on.

The fun note is the background which is still hand-drawn by me but it's actually ink, not graphite, for a totally other past project & I thought it fits the action there!

I detailled much more the layers here, starting with the shading: you can see the 2 stages using 2 different pencils. Also the color processing. 

The tattoo was a last minute decision, I drawn it separately and mixed it with the final drawing in Photoshop, where all the mix & coloring is done.

I challenged myself to do this one quickly, within an hour. Butt, but I wanted to scan each steps to give you the process, so I'm a bit late, hehe!

Eyes closed pleasure (step by step)

The perspective was a challenge, it's not the first time in the comic I use that kind of pose. You can see how the faces evolved from the sketch. Again, the shading is the key step for me. Oh and I wanted to draw a little background here, even if I'm not doing much in such close-ups.

I'm working on pages 15 & 16 now, and the heat is on! Thanks for your support!

This is a rare occasion when even myself can use both hands and more LOL XD

That page 11 was terrific to practice anatomy & close ups. No need to say that the hair stage was so freaking long for all these panels, 4 of them with the same pose & framing. It was a very good way to show how the character is in control and wills to give so much pleasure.

And it's far from over, haha! Thanks for the support, folks!

Panic in colors!

I drawn lots of quick drawings and ink them during my last comiccon. Let's say I was influenced by the famous "inktober" event so it drove me to get back to some inking. And it was refreshing, as I'm so focused on the graphite rendering & LUST comic for so many months now.

So I added digital colors using Illustrator here, very quick, and it fits the roughness of the drawing & the inking. I'll show you some more ;-)

First LUST comic promotional leaflet!

Thanks to my artist friend Heloïse Finoux Nikolic, I got a photo of the LGBT BD booth taken during the Y/con comiccon in Paris 👍

Dining out in the jungle (step by step)

In case you didn't notice, I slow down the rhythm between each step, it gives a little more time to watch the stages.

That panel from page 10 was not an easy one. Drawing a body bending over is tricky, but I'm happy with the result here.

Usually I think the hair stage, and the shading make the drawing complete, but with such work on the background I have to say the jungle plays a huge part in the scene.

Thanks to this comic, I started to enjoy creating backgrounds, haha!

I finally got this LGBT magazine published by a french LGBT association. This illustration of mine from last year got selected to feature on the cover of their january very first issue. The title fits the artwork very well, saying "IT IS ONLY LOVE".

It doesn't show here, it's actually graphite rendering and digital colors.

Amazing news while at the Comiccon!

These 4 days were really intense, I sign so many comicbooks & drawn a lot, mainly using ink, which is kinda rare nowadays for me when you see my art for some time now. I will show you some of the best pieces I produced.

The very good news are double: first, I'm selected amongst other artists to be part of the very first erotic exhibition during the most big & famous comiccon in La Réunion island, that happens as it's gonna celebrate its tenth anniversary from november 28th to december...

I totally forgot to post this process from the last panel of LUST comic page 9 last week, sorry. I was on an exhausting 4 days comiccon and I'm gonna post about it soon.

Here again, the infamous "forget about the tie" syndrom :-D that appears at the very last stage, but it's here!

When compositing the page, I regretted we didn't see much of that furrrrrrrry chest but finally you get to watch it now!

4 days Comiccon

Tomorrow starts a 4 days Comiccon in the South of La Réunion island where I live 😃 Lots of drawings & Signing ahead with my comicbooks BAD BEARRY french & english versions & MATE CES ÉCHECS ! Books 1 & 2 french version. I hope to share some photos of the even with you guys.

Getting rid the suit! (Step by step)

This panel was so HARD to fully imagine & finally draw. The pose had diffrent versions. One was both arms still wrapped in the shirt/suit he's pulling off, but it was so weird, like he's floating in the air. At last I decided to go further in the movement, like the left arm's the first free and he's using it to not fall as he's pushed front.

LUST credit card!

Who could imagine that the first ever printed thing of my comic LUST would be the credit card from my new bank??! First time I see you can custom such thing and I'm pretty pleased with the result featuring a panel from page 2 😃

At first I looked at the drawing like it was ages ago, but then I realize it's been a little month now the comic's online... time goes by so quickly!

Oh it's been too long I didn't draw some ARMPIT damnit!! And as usual, it's the perfect excuse to study once more anatomy, it's really not that easy, with the body all along this pose. But let's face it: it's yummy to see, all the more with that smile. Oh, that's not what you're lookin' at, folks?? :-P

A very original process here, as I started with the background, the bamboos, right after the sketch. I don't remember why, as I usually always perform the background after the characters. 

The fun fact about this panel and the two previous ones from page 7 is I didn't intend to have any leaf here, no messy stuff in the background to keep the eye focus on the faces.
