Cruel Summer (Patreon infos)

I shown you the struggling at the sketch stage, this is the final panel after HARD work! Presented in its full size, it's a bit cropped in the page layout.

I especially love Deimos here: the pose, complex, his expression, the costume torn apart. He's highly detailled, you'll see how the whole thing is built in a forthcoming step by step.

"Am I too close?" (Step by step)

This is probably on the longest step by step I edited! You see the 2 sketches, I had to correct Deimos arm & side. Plus the usual stages, separating the shading for each character.

Then the coloring is also separated in several steps, so you get a better overall understanding on how I create colors.

And just like other variations, I delay the body hair stage to the very end, so you can see the whole panel with smooth guys.

Well, the purpose of this sketch is training on the back anatomy, but, and it's a big but, like a bubble one, it's hump day today so I HAD to go for the butt too. Don't you think?

Moving Vs. internet access

Hey folks!

A little message to say I'm moving this weekend, meaning I gotta change my internet access. I shouldn't have internet at the new home for a few days, don't worry if you don't hear from me much. I have a plan to still get an access into a family house, so it should be okay, at least from the smartphone.

I also plan to reboot the page early september, rebuilding the look, the presentation and some pledges. Stay tuned!

Here are our heroes with no body hair. Deimos sports a sweaty body, you see that better and when drawing this, it's interesting to make the drops follow the muscle volumes.

The Arrival (step by step)

I detailled this step by step much more on the coloring process, mainly for Deimos & the demons, not much on the background. You certainly notice at the end how volumes & fabrics pop with some lights.

The part I enjoyed most was the leather rendering: not that easy even when you know the tricks, hehe!

Mack sketching struggle! (NSFW)

I know many people think artists are gifted from the gods or fairies or are even superheroes (BWAHAHAHA!!), but we are not. It's a lot of work, epic fails and also good times when we succeed in our creations.

Here I'm sharing with you something I don't usually: the struggle. You see the sketch for a huge panel in the upcoming Deimos comic written by Patrick Fillion. And you see how I wasn't getting Mack in the background coming behind the Taro Demon. There are 3 sketches, 10 seconds each.

A Sense of You (steps preview)

At that time I had the idea to separate 2 stages from the shading, which  is a premisce of what I would be performing years later on LUST with  the black characters.

I played with the colors, adding somekind of shadow mixed to somekind of aura, which would symbolize the lover he's remembering through the smell. Last step was a heavy photo filter using the same color as the background, blending the whole thing together.

Deimos entrance! (NSFW)

This is how a hero makes an entrance, people! I guess the love & dedication on him & his outfit show, hehe! 

I managed to combine my graphite technique, the shading for sure, with a digital coloring that gives all the more volume & reflections to both the bodies and the fabric (Here leather! Also Mack's classic lumberjack outfit). Oh, and a quick way to render some background, which is cool for someone much more focused on the characters.

An oldie from october 2016, remixed with colors & filters. I really love how I managed to render the dick at that time: the veins are only seen through shading, very soft! Plus the tanline, dunno why I really enjoy this, probably cause it's very graphic!

Mack in peril! (Step by step)

This could have been a very much longer process, as I didn't detail the coloring for each character or background. It was a long journey, but this big panel is complete!!

You get to see it full here, as it's cropped within its page. The actual background was a last call, as I was so focused on the crowded foreground and all the action.

Hands Back! (Step by step)

This one is remixed with colors, but when editing it, I loved you actually get the shading before the body hair, so you get some kind of old way variation of the guy smooth! Strange it didn't occur to me at that time I should give you the variations! Better late than never, right?

I improved so much anatomy and shading since this one, it's really striking here. But the guy's cute, so it's worth it, hehe!

Deimos comic preview (NSFW)

A work in progress page to show you all what's going on on my drawing board & computer, hehe!

Colors aren't fixed, there's gonna be lots of texts & balloons from Patrick Fillion. Won't spoil a thing.

It was pretty hard & impressive to draw so many characters interacting. Plus the work on coloring AND the backgrounds. Overall I'm more than happy with the result!

Behind ya! (Step by step)

I don't have the sketch stage, as it wasn't think through this way first. But you clearly see the different inking way: the second step going for a sort of shading / texturing the skin.

Not convinced at all bu the result, I was aiming something more like my buddy Patrick Fillion, well still gotta work on that LOL!

I'm more into the graphic effect I got for the background, hehe!
