I had so much fun with this pose & the testing with the cross-hatching. At that point of my training, you can see I used to draw all around the character, it gives a ghosty feel, hehe!

Once again, a slight variation between the 2 versions, on the 1st panel. I thought the full face would seem much too similar with the face in panel 3. I drawn quickly the figure in the second panel as I knew it would be lots of work, saving time for the full sketch.

Colors are done in Procreate, I just applied a photo filter in Photoshop on the character before editing the image file. I went for some dark night mood, I hope you like it!

Actually these are the storyboards, with a clear difference on the first 3 panels (only 2 in the firs draft). It's rare to see me going so blank in the sketch for panel 5! I knew I'd have lots of work there so I saved it for the final sketch.
For the record, I had real troubles with it, especially his face I could not render properly and I'm still not satisfied. BUT the final rendering + the colors make the whole page work, phew!

I'm glad you decided this amazing character for me, I take lots of pleasure to draw him. I'm not used to long beard & such warrior beast, hehe! The page looks kinda empty with no colors on, and you can observe the details of the inking & cross-hatching. It's still a balance & try out for me, I'm performing another way today on the Kratos fanart, available soon, after watching a fantastic lesson on Youtube, hehe!

From the latest page, panel 4 had 3 sketching sessions: 1st the actual sketch that served the real panel, where he sports all the outfit. Second, the very rough original version, quickly put in the storyboard (you'll see later) & then the naked version (I did a naked version of panel 2 too that you saw last month).
I'm not totally sure about the tattoo as pubic hair, but it should remain officially when he's gonna get naked. He's really a character that's grown on me.
