I was dying to draw Eddie from the 911 tv-show with his mustache, starring in the latest 8th season. It's finally done, the idea coming from lots of official promo lately, where the actor Ryan Guzman appears WITHOUT it. Hehe, well the dilemna is now real!

For the record, I drew him sporting his like I sport mine: with a good beard, and I think it's better than with the clean shaved face.

A lil warm up than ended up experimenting on the shading rendering, melting the rough lines. It's got this *too digital* look like rendering, and I end up with better & higher quality results when shading with the graphite digital tools in Procreate.

It was fun to test again, though!

Originally this is the cover I wanted for the PART 2 of the Buddie comic, coming soon, and I decided to work on it as an ARTY weekend to show you each stage.

It happens the 8th season of the 911 tv-show just started and I managed to see the 1st episode today, which inspired me the little dialogue between the guys. No spoilers about what it is, but I guess people who saw the episode should get it.

Hope you like it, seeing all the stages...

CLX Arty WE 05 (PROCESS ink)

The ink stage is 30s here. I gotta stop going for 1 mn, my PC cannot handle so many layers / images to produce the animated gif.

Also the stills for the CLOTHES variation. You can notice Eddie's not wearing pants, showing off the jockstrap already there. It is a special version of our brand CLUIX, called the 118 FIRE edition! It sports the colors of the suspenders, hehe!

The first stage of colors, defining the overall mood with the original color palette of the Buddie comic. Last stage being the full rendering, shadows & lights.

Some mandatory lights are in place, mainly on the eyes & lips, to give more life to the faces.
