Very first step: I had a cool pose for the hands and fingers, that lead me to the text in the additional balloon you see on the final version, hehe!

The third sketch was the final for a good start. It took a few time to build this, to my own surprise!

This is Jim Gordon from the Gotham Tv show, played by Ben Mckenzie. Great performance from this actor, love that complex & not smooth lead character.

I was going for a portrait, but thought it could be great to have some dynamic pose. I came up with this one in the first rough sketches, so it sticks to the very first idea. As you may see, it took AGES to draw the whole suit, but it looks great and fits the guy!

I admire how some artists like Egorod or Soizick Jaffré aren't afraid of colors, creating such incredible artworks & comics. It's no news I'm not into coloring, but why not push the bounderies sometimes?

Here I liked to draw a tan line and to use some extensive shading technics. I kinda like these darker shadows too. No surprise as I love strong contrasts in black & white!

There you got the complete creative process. I rather the full graphite rendering, but people want colors so I'm giving it a shot! But with such a colorful character, it would have been too bad to leave it black & white only.
