Drawing characters #21

Suit & tie, very nice to see, but hard to take off. I guess he's gonna need a hand. 

BTW I have a very naughty idea for the next training drawing for this character :-P Actually he would still be wearing that, somewhat.

Anyway the pose is tricky so I'm gonna need reference, maybe taking the shot, I mean the picture, myself! Didn't find what I need online or in the tons of pics in my own library I've made for years. Well, it sounds fun & exciting! :-D

Red, Hot & Hairy! (Step by step)

This is the process. I told myself how would I proper render blond or red body hair on black & white. Actually you see here I used a very light value for the graphite body hair. And just as Patrick suggested, I used a red colored pencil to reshape this light grey hair, before performing the shading. The mix doesn't seem bad to me, just a bit odd, haha!

I just love the swirling pattern of Matthieu's chest hair! So fun to draw (and long, as any could imagine!) :-)

Red, Hot & Hairy!

Following the advice of my brilliant artist friend Patrick Fillion (you must know him: https://www.patreon.com/PatrickFillion !), I wanted perform a little try out on a red chest, using as reference the hair pattern of Matthieu Charneau, photographed by Raul Cabrera.

Some new faces & expressions studies for this guy, coming into life in my new comic this summer. All graphite, 3 different values. Again very close to the final rendering.

The drawing in the middle is very special, not sure I gave it justice, but I just love it :-D

I guess this is the combo for a whole day working on a single piece! Hairy guy, shading, & big background! Exhausted but I like the result (especially the central piece: the shading makes everything here!) :-)

This deserves some colors later, for sure.

That's typically the kind of drawing where the shading makes it all POP! I'm a bit disapointed in the blue color, I should have gone for the other pencil, a bit darker.

I told myself it's been like FOREVER I didn't draw one of my new characters dressed up! So here we're back with a classy suit & tie on. Well actually, he looks like he's about to take it off for you, people! Or is he dressing up?!

I only forgot that if I go for a dark graphite rendering I CANNOT use my usual sketch art paper... too bad, so the rendering quality is poor, the paper is not flat anymore & it showed at the scan, gosh!

BTW I wanted to have a digital colored background ...

A new graphite study of Back Male anatomy, full-lenght drawing ✏️ Really Interesting to draw, but messy to understand 😅

Actually I didn't have a clear reference for the shading, so I'm not pleased with the last attempt, but you see the whole guy & I love his ass, hehe!

Switching to "drawing" instead of "sketch", as I'm closer than never to the final version & rendering for this character . Giving him kinda the same shading work as I performed for the other one lately ✏️

It takes time but I'm sort of an addict to this now, haha! XD

I wanted to go on a very different way from previous pin-ups. I love some tanline, hehe! I changed a bit the guy between the sketch & further stages, as you can see in the step by step. His face expression changed and I think he's troubled and... troubling.  XD

I went for a Morocco style, I just love yellowish walls. Actually I just love YELLOW! :-D

Pretty happy with this one, I was not going for a pin-up but here it is in all the glory and with a traditional coloured pencil touch.

Sketching characters #15

Playing again with 3 different graphite pencils, and with emotions for this character. I like his body hair this way, it's also more curly, a bit like my main character in the "Bad Bearry" comic series :-)

He's not easy to draw but I'm enjoying it more & more each time, sounds good for the future!

Arm Anatomy study #02 (the revenge)

Okay, now I get this better, and I also understood much more the TRI in triceps :-D

And translating such detailled inside muscles study into my own artwork feels better too. I enjoy that kind of exercices & actually I did more in the past months but did not posted them here, I can show some more in Patreon too ;-)

Beyond barriers

A good study of back anatomy, although I should get back to actual real anatomy references. I gave it a touch of coloured pencil & white posca for the volume. All traditional techniques ;-)

The Bridge impersonator (NSFW)

Oh I wanted to get back to such... hem, VIEW for a while & finally I get back to it, hehe! I thought I would have harder times to sketch this at the early stage, but all went very smoothly & I love the result with the canopy bed.

Then I realized I didn't put colors & show you the last stage of my previous pin-up!! Sorry I'm gonna do it, & then MAYBE this one will get some colors too. Both will have a step by step edition, for sure.

Well, I guess this is the BIG reveal! First time I draw his sex & I think it looks perfect, pretty natural like all his body. Of course he's smiling!
From now on, expect more NSFW content, practising & preparing the forthcoming project comin out at the end of the summer, and I promise you a HOT end of year! :-P

Sketching characters #13

In & Out of clothes! I just love that huge contrast between the full classy smoking dress & the all naked, vulnerable side, hehe!

Some could say that sounds promising. ^^

On the left side I used my lighter graphite pencil, which is used for quick sketches, sometimes building and also for shading on the final pieces. The naked one on the right is closer to a final version, although I drawn him kinda quickly, sketchy style.

Back to some full inking traditional drawing for this guy. The sketch graphite was so messy & visible I had to erase some parts of it, hehe! I added some blue colour vibe to the whole thang in Photoshop.
