Mermen often use a conch shell to announce events, or to call to each other, or to other entities and even to call the water.
It is said that the waves are made with this kind of power... (thats why we can hear the waves inside of a seashell)

Selkies are a merfolk known by norse and celtic people.
They look like seals and live among the seals, but they are capable to change into human form by shedding their skin.
The Selkie then "undress" they seal skin, and walk on land to dance and drink among humans, and even to love someone... and after this, they dress up they seal skin again, and get back to de ocean.
It is said that Selkies are very beautiful and charming, being very hard to not fall in love for them...

A kind of Selachii (shark) mermen.
Large, with powerful muscles, sharp claws and teeth and yes Two Penises (!!), these sharkmen are tireless hunters, with very keen olfactory senses, capable of sense a Nice and Juicy Ass a hundreds of meters away.

Another merfolk tale here from Brazil is about the Boto.
According to the stories, on night of full moon, this river dolphin has the power to transform into a very elegant, seductive and handsome man, always wearing a hat (to hide his blowhole that remains on the top of his head) and seeking for dance parties and balls...
Then, he looks to find someone to flirt and dance, and after takes this lucky one to the river, to make love all night long...

Here in Brazil we have tales about the Ipupiara (the pronunciation is ee . poopy . ada), merfolks who live in the river, and with such strong arms that they are capable of crushing the body bones of a person in a single embrace... But... although some people have fear of them, well... I think that this Ipupiara here is very interested on this pretty man...
