Just wanted to mention the new change I made across the first part of the week - functional tags for main posts.

These include all rewards tiers, plus polls and previews. Both polls and their results are collected under the ”Poll” tag and previews have all kinds of sneak peeks - from sketches to new characters and H scenes. There’s also a FAQ tag for guides, walkthroughs and puzzle solutions.

A very busy week on my day job. It amazes me how every damn time people will suddenly realize that the year is ending and scramble to complete their unfinished business. This causes a huge spike of mindfuck which isn’t great for creative after-work time.

Tech-wise, I spent most of my time expanding the crafting system beyond the scope of the first release. All tech will be divided into 3 quality “tiers”. Since I got more time before the release, I decided to use it to add extra flavor and eye candy, starting with the player’s GUI.

After the last Yorna release, I’ve fully switched my attention to Ouroboros. I’m still fiddling with some mechanics like hacking to catch the balance point between difficulty and frustration. Plus, there’s a lot of balancing work to do but I think it will be ready for the next usual release time. If it won’t be ready at the moment or within a week from it, I’ll pause the Patreon until the point where I can properly release the initial version.

Ouro scene 1st sequence preview

Don't look at the gif itself, it loses a lot of quality >> The real preview file is inside the attachment - please, download the mp4 file with high quality and hi-def art.

Strangely enough, Patreon doesn't offer a way to properly upload H video file into the header. Both Youtube and Vimeo don't allow H videos. Direct upload places the video into the attachment footer instead of the header.

Decided to make a little surprise for Ayane. Yeah, she doesn’t have a scene in the game but we all know what she really wants, right? :)

It was a long journey but in the end, I’m pretty happy with the result. Sure, development wasn’t flawless but this experience will help me in the future and hopefully will help Ouroboros to become a great game.

The artists are switching to Ouroboros with a little special planned for Yorna’s final update. Teaser movie is already in the sketching and I’m looking for an additional artist to share the workload between the art brigade’s members. 

Added more maps to the initial pack and I’m pretty close to completing the logistical part of zones with shops, implant clinic and other utility buildings. Tileset-wise, I think I have everything I need at the moment.
