Here's more imagery from Patrick, this time in the hills around my place. We've been seeing these amazing purple blooms this year for the first time; I have no idea where they came from or why they've suddenly cropped up. Anyways, I really enjoyed this perfectly idyllic spring hike, and I love the mix of styles and moods in Patrick's processing of these shots.

More Mesa Beach in Santa Barbara was warm, stunning and relatively unpeopled around sunset; my only complaint was there was not nearly enough nudity 😍

This is a very popular spot in Santa Barbara called Lizards Mouth Rock. It looked quite a bit more lizardy in person and I don't think these images do it justice. The whole area is actually really cool and there are other funky rock formations nearby, as you can see in the third image. We had to be very patient, stealth and quick to pull it off; I guess that's just how it's always gonna be at a neato place like this this.

On our trip to Santa Barbara a few months ago we took a muddy hike through a lush part of Gaviota State park to reach this little oasis. It was a bit lukewarm but still very relaxing and lovely.

This was a quick set we did awhile back in the Elfin Forest of Los Osos, near the central coast of California. There were a number of people lurking around in the area which made it tough, but not impossible, to find enough privacy to shoot. We didn't have much freedom to get super creative but I think we came away with some decent imagery nonetheless. I went ahead and included a portrait that I like too, because I dunno, I really haven't shared one here in a long time.
Here it is...

Here's another set of images from last year that got lost in the chaos of travel. We stopped briefly to shoot when we saw this hella kewl lava bed at the side of the road in Oregon near the McKenzie river!

This is from 2014 with a photographer who went by the moniker "Visible Light." I'm sure I posted these somewhere back in the day, so they may look familiar to some of you. I don't remember his name at this point, but I do recall it was really pleasant working with him and taking these simple, natural shots at a quiet, empty park somewhere in the East Bay.

I'd been wanting to shoot in a lush mustard field for the longest time and my wish finally came true! We found these vibrant flower patches around the Concord/Clayton area in the east bay a few weeks ago and it felt like a kind of promised land for me. I was in heaven, bouncing around the yellow expanses.

So far, San Antonio Hot Springs in New Mexico is the most beautiful and relaxing hot spring I've been to. This is another one of those shoots from last year's trips; we just didn't get around to editing a whole set until recently. Anyways, if you are in the Jemez Springs area, I highly recommend this place; there are multiple pools with varying water temperatures and it is not very crowded, surprisingly. I think that the experience of being there was so blissful, and the visuals so breathtaki...

This is actually an old set from last year's trip to Washington that we just never worked on. These got forgotten somehow; how silly! This jacuzzi at our place was so luxurious and these images bring me back to that serene place.

Although this was my third time shooting at these marvelous sand dunes in Oceano, the images we got here were still quite distinct. It was super windy this time so I was getting sand blasted pretty hard here. Nonetheless, I enjoyed luxuriating in this peaceful, desolate terrain.

James and I took a hike out to the absolutely stunning Red Rock Beach in Marin county, which just so happens to be clothing optional! So I felt free as a nudie bird could be. It looks like James might have processed many of these shots in different ways, so there's a wide and variety of vibes and colors!
I know I've posted the frontal version of this image with Gary Breckheimer in the past but I don't think I've shared this one!

We passed through Red Rock Canyon State Park in Cantil, California, on the way back from our last trip through the Southwest. It's definitely a funky spot worth checking out, although it wasn't the easiest place to shoot midday; the light was harsh and there were enough people crawling around in the distance to make us a bit nervous. Anyhow, we did the best we could and I'm quite happy with a lot of these.
