Finally got around to making a comic for themmm. Unlike some of my other stuff, I’m formatting these as 4-panel comics since I think this format works better for them.
Had the vague idea for this one back in November 2022 and eventually doodled it back in march of this year, but I kept getting distracted/forgetting to make it until now

I beat Zelda 1, it was fun (make sure you have an instruction manual handy if you ever decide to play it through). Similarly to the Tunic inspired art from before, this stuff resulted from looking at the official art for Zelda 1, 2, and Lttp

Introducing, Hiro! Finally got around to starting chapter 2 which, in comparison to chapter 1, should be a bit more relaxed and mellow. I mean, we’re not in a burning forest for starters, and there’s no Dolvan boisterous-ness this time either.
With that in mind, I’m trying to be careful about how I pace and structure this chapter since, after such a loud opener, a more peaceful chapter could risk boring the reader. I do have a plan as to what will happen here to prevent that howev...

Got a release in 1992 and eventually got a home release the following year. It loosely adapted stuff from the manga (namely the Expedition, Maws of Death, and Pirate destroyer arcs) but had its own story overall. The Cookie short “Lazy River” played before it in theaters. In general, this movie is one of the more well preserved pieces of Boaroton media outside of the original manga and 2003 anime, the 1989 and 1993 OVAs are still pretty rare though, as are the snes games.

I was just gonna write down the basic plot somewhere to think about/conceptualize it, but then I thought "why just write it down when I can draw it too" and this "game-manual-ish" thingy was the result. Things about this could still change until it comes time for me to actually make it, but I think this gives a good idea as to what i'm going for as it is.

In-universe language for First Star that uses sounds instead of a traditional alphabet (yes Tunic has a stranglehold over me how could you tell).

Heyyyyy, sudden Sonic The Fighters obsessionnnnn…
Well that’s a lie, STF has been one of those games I’ve loved for years because of its art style, music, and general charm (Losing rings whenever you get hit as an example). Though there was a recent YouTube video about the game that reawakened the love I had for it and made me want to make characters influenced by it, which resulted in these guys.

Thought “why not” and decided to make a Hiro model.
I feel like this is the closest a model has gotten to looking like my art but in 3D
Redrew something from 2021, the arcade drawing. I realized that everyone in the drawing had either gotten a redesign of some kind, or were from some cancelled/still un-started project, which made me want to try redrawing it in the first place. I changed the arcade games they were playing too, from being vaguely related to some part of their series/character, to being games from their respective universe, the posters and logos in the back got changed for similar reasons. Been pretty busy lately so i'm sorry about how delayed this has been, but here’s another Dr.Badger. I missed him ngl.
This whole chapter is a reference to the Spaceball minigame from Rhythm Tengoku. I thought it would make for a fun scenario when I figured out how to turn it into a Badger invention.

I got the idea for a one-shot while playing Kirby's Return to Dream Land when wearing the Nago mask with the Spear ability.
Anyway, its about a guy who overfishes to the point where no one else is able to get any food, so he gets banished from his village and ends up going on a journey to search for a golden fish that will supposedly satisfy his hunger forever. I don't have it all figured out yet but i'll worry about that some other time.
