What an absolutely INCREDIBLE premiere episode to Steins;Gate 0! Prior to starting with this second show, I was unsure if starting another journey wouldn't feel like overkill after the first show perfectly rounded off its storyline. After watching this however, I'm already completely on board. I love how we get to see Okarin struggling so much to deal with Makise Kurisu's death in the initial world line, as well as some more glimpses at the year 2036 and what it is that actually occured.

While just as tragic, I can at least say I felt significantly less frustrated watching this episode. Boris initially appeared like he was gonna be yet another person in denial standing in Legasov's way, but it was good to see him becoming open to the truth as the episode progressed.

Another reaction journey has come to an end (for now). Even if Season 1's finale didn't close most of JJK's story arcs, I love how certain moments still ended up coming full circle with Sukuna eating that finger and the crew going shopping. I've heard many people hype up Season 2 and its apparently darker direction, so I'll look forward to seeing where we go from here!

What a way to catch us up on Canute's story! It's once again a testament to how natural the writing in this show feels. Where we could reunite with Thorfinn several years later without needing to know much about what happened inbetween, Vinland Saga explains to us some of how Canute (re)gained dominance over England. Oh, and Thorkell is back! How could I not be happy about that?

A perfect ending. I'm so happy everything came full circle exactly like I hoped, and each character had one last moment to shine as well. I can only imagine I will attempt to time travel many more times in the future to try and relive the amazing experience that Steins;Gate was. For now though, it's onto episode 23b and Steins;Gate 0!

Wow, what a captivating first episode. Going into Chernobyl, I was aware of some of what had happened in Pripyat a few decades ago. Still, watching this re-enactment of the events was incredibly immersive, gruesome, sometimes blood-boiling (for obvious reasons), but I can't wait to see where the rest of the miniseries goes!
