Wings

Finished this ❤️ A piece inspired by an article about a father swan cradling his chicks in his wings.

I like the sharpness and cell shadiing of my recent art too but I'm really happy how this looks more like my older art with the softer shading and glowy lighting.  Though I don't really know what I did but I just swished colors all over and it ended up turning so soft~

Also couldn't quite decide between the warm and cold lighting so here's both :D

To be quite honest, this has got to be my biggest piece to date and I'm quite proud of it. It took 4 days straight of work and must be the piece I spent so much time pouring over the tiny details.

It took much longer to finish with my new working pace but I really did have fun with this. I haven't done a piece like this a while and it felt great to be back to these kind illustrations again.

It took a little trial and error to get that familiar feel of the Bathtub Illustration set but in the end it was quite worth it!

I also do want to thank everyone for being so patient with my art because of the health problems I have been experiencing with my back recently. Physical therapy and the meds has been hitting quite hard so I've become quite slow with drawings.. Theyre in the works but just at a snail's pace

Something reminiscent of the Bathtub rewards comic strip I made last year where the mini comic is essentially made up of fully colored illustrations but it will be a bit more explicit and longer this time round.  I remember being so shy drawing the first time haha

i came back from break bringing Angst feels ; w ; . 

I changed the song halfway through from "Not While I'm Around" to "You Are My Sunshine" and I think it made it sadder 💔😭 not gonna lie, I cried while I had the song playing in the background.

Also tried coloring on a single layer for this one too and made it less cell-shady. it made it look even softer somehow

I always draw Luci with baby Charlie so fluffy and sweet while it's always angst when it's Luci and grown-up Charlie ; w ;

Art is a little slow these first two weeks of June because of losses in the family, new big  life decisions, and then upcoming birthday  but I can't wait to finish more art once things calm down. Thank you always for your patience and support~

Spent the day studying photography lighting in bed while I recovered from my Covid19 Vaccine (it hit me hard lol) and immediately tried to recreate it in Clip Studio. 

Still half and half with this illustration. Will try again xD
