Leguna: "Well you see..."

It occurs to me that many of you probably aren't familiar with my older artwork from when I used to post on FA. So I wanted to reintroduce you all to Leguna, my 15 foot tall, 2000lb, voracious, man-eating, blubbery, bubble headed, valley girl, cam-whore, porn star, E-thot, orca whale.

I saw this tweet around Halloween and couldn't help myself. An elaborate shitpost? Maybe, but I think it illustrates how you really can't assume who a person was before they transform. When drawing this I considered putting a swastika on the man's back, or the tattoos of a violent gang, but I didn't want to strain the metaphor. Suffice it to say, when I said that anyone could become these characters, I really meant anyone.

(Inspiration Blog) - Relations

Back in the day, I was a big fan of Sgt. Frog (Keroro Gunso) by Mine Yoshizaki and distributed by Tokyo Pop. And one thing about that Manga that still sticks out in my mind was how as the cast of characters grew, at the beginning of each volume you'd have a character map much like the one seen above that laid out how everyone related to each other. And this was such a wonderful thing because it took the abstract and boiled it down to a handy visual that brought readers up to speed.

Presently Pete

A doodle in between other things that honestly I was going to scrap as it didn't turn out the way I wanted.

This came about from a conversation ...(or rather many conversations) I've had with Swatcher in regards to Disney's Pete or "Peg Leg Pete". And how we both have crush on the character. New Recruit (WIP)

This is a full page comic commission in works for Articus Tigulf.

As you can see its all really raw. All of the text and speech bubbles have to be adjusted, and of course the whole thing needs to be inked. But I'm falling behind in my posting schedule so here's the present version right before the big clean up!

Looking for some insomnia idea input

So I worked security for a funeral

I stood on the church steps, vigilant for any maniacs that would attempt a Dylan Roof attack an overcrowded church building. This place was built right after the civil war, and despite over a century of renovations, the parking lots were still quite small for the occupancy.

I'll be attending a funeral tomarrow

There's to be a slight delay in art this week.

Not my grandmother, but an older woman that's very close to my family passed away on Monday.

No condolences needed, as it's a miracle she even lived to see the year 2000 yet alone 2019. But now she can finally rest. 

I'm expected to work security, as her direct survivors are not the classiest people, to put it lightly.

I'm so happy with how this picture came out. Those of you who have been looking at my art these past few months will already know that I've been using more warped and fish-eye angles when planning out my drawings. It's an ongoing learning process as I've had to unlearn some things I do in order to get the best results, but all of that effort really shines in this picture.

Boar Demon Wip

I haven't been streaming this week so I wanted to show you the progress on a Boar Demon absorption sequence that I've been working on.

Been using the marker tool lately to do my sketch work before moving on to the final inks. Its sorta of like working with clay if that makes sense. But my hand is getting to me so this was all I was able to do tonight.

After I learned that I could import meshes into my 3D posing program, I went a little nuts testing things out and even modeling a pair of toothy lips. The end result were two pose bodies for Vouge and his grandnephew Vince that are so versatile I just had to draw something with them!

In this case the old sex offender from outer space is spending time with his earthbound grandnephew.
