AHHHHHH.... Stupid Windows update restarted my computer mid render, it's an 8-hour render so I couldn't restart it since I had work.

I cleaned up the suit, redid all the texturing, and finally added the wings. Like the Dva suit, ultra-modular!

Everything getting back to normal.

I have most of my settings back to where they were before the loss of data. With that I just started on the rendering process for the next post and the alternate.

A post mortem.

The computer is back up and running again. The old motherboard is still chugging along.

I've come to the conclusion that the surge protector failed and caused a surge 2 separate time. 1 when I lost the data, and the 2nd when the motherboard died. Both times when I was switching it back on. It was a bit too much for the 5 year old computer..

I might be opening up commissions again, since I really need to upgrade my kit. The render for today was just not going to happen so it will...

Rip..

Motherboard is dead. I have a spare... if that doesn't work I'll be off to the store...

An update to the "small" mishap

It was not small. I actually lost quite a bit data.
Application settings for the 3d modeling programs that I use was among them. Also lost all of the studio aberration branding stuff. Maybe an new logo is now in the works.

Posting I can adjust application settings while I'm rendering. So the post for today will still go up, just a bit later in the day.

Small mishap

During the installation of a new M.2 SSD the old drive got wiped... I have to check how much data I lost. I did lose the render for tomorrow's post, but the 3D files are still there. I just have to re-render it.

Things shouldn't change much though.
