Perhaps blame my bias eyes, but my portrait proportions never seem accurate nor accurately captures the subject's likeness; I believe, after hours of staring at one piece, my mind fixates solely on the differences between my work and the reference to spot any disparities...

Though I was initially frustrated, with patience and persistence, I managed to salvage Doggon's illustration...it's a satisfactory effort, though I'm somewhat disappointed: I know I can be better...I'll temporarily return to my studies to identify how to improve before the next piece.

Another piece inspired by a song committed to memory years ago, meant to capture an ambitious individual on the "brink" of failure or defeat; despite brief temptation to cede, they regain conviction and prepare for the next bout...the song can be endless looped to symbolize perpetual cycles, only to cease when one chooses...

This portrait was, somewhat, successful: I was able to create a unique, expressive piece from an otherwise standard reference, however, my portraits consistently feel structurally inaccurate even after a thorough linear construction...I need to be more observant and patient...

I'm glad I gave myself more time, it allowed me to push beyond my currently capabilities to actively attempt achieve a higher quality image...from now on, I'll try to cultivate greater patience for my art to strive not for a "finish", but an inspirational image in league with artists I admire.
I made an additional discovery, apparently, Ipads, for whatever reason, have two automatic brightness toggles: one in the standard display menu, the second, buried in the accessibility...
