I drew this for FtK of her Doc Pegasus character even before I'd chosen my furry name! It was my first anthro pinup drawing in many years. Which is probably why I let it get so complicated compared to my later work.

Birchly's design has been a real challenge to nail down. But it's also hard to nail down my own personal style in general, as I readily take in so many different influences. I feel like with Birchly I've started zeroing in on a pink-purple/gold color scheme, and the quarantine hair he's started to grow might be a keeper. Or it might not! Sometimes I like dependability, sometimes I crave novelty. I'll probably be messing with this design forever.

This was the image I was going to use to say thanks for 1k likes on my AD Twitter. I used another Judy drawing, but she was covered up in that one too. I can't remember if I was squeamish about having a sexy account or not. Maybe I was just trying to be cute, I think teasing is fun to draw.

I have told people that if it wasn't for Zootopia kicking off my furry awakening in earnest, I'd have been a bird. In fact, I had drawn this owl finch sona the year before Zootopia came out. If I ever do make another bird sona, it'll be real tough to pick the species, but it would probably be way more colorful than this.

As many of you know, I recently accepted a position with a studio in California. While thrilling, and also terrifying, this job requires me to relocate to LA which is on the other side of the country. I'm gonna be pretty sparse for a bit, but fear not! Courtney has been on quite a journey. She started as a rude, antagonistic, closed-off character, and I wanted to track her redemptive arc with a comic or something but I just didn't have the time or focus. So instead, I just softened her as I went, because I make the rules! Now she's internally driven to express her softness despite an external frosty layer that's slowly cracking away. That feels more relatable to me now.
