It's so cold and miserable in Auckland recently so I've been inspired to draw a lot of cosy indoor drawings. I'm sick of winter, can't wait until summer!

I apologise to everyone for my influx of pokemon sketches. If you're not into pokemon, perhaps you can just think of this as a derpy fish picture?
It's a fun challenge to draw someone else's characters in my own style. Especially animals. I've always liked magikarp because he's so silly looking, flapping about with his mouth open all the time. I'm sure magikarp just wants to be beautiful sometimes too!

Peacocks really freak me out. Their feathers look like creepy eyes and they swagger around like they own the place. Once when I was little a peacock at the zoo tried to steal my lunch >:(

I finally caved and got Pokemon Go yesterday! It's the first time I've played any of the series, but I watched the show a lot when I was a kid. Jordan and I spent the day walking around the city and I managed to get a bunch of pokemon that I wanted, such as Bulbasaur (cute), Jigglypuff (loved from the show), Meowth (cat, obviously), Magicarp (face so derp) and Psyduck (more derp). There were SO many people playing the game and a lot of people were striking up conversation, it was really nice :)

When you're a kid it feels like a sunny summer afternoon can last a lifetime. I love that feeling :)
I was on a walk the other day. It had just rained but then the sun came out and the footpath looked so glassy and slick. The whole scene was beautiful :)

I went on a walk last week and a giant fluffy samoyed ran up and gave me a kiss! Thankfully Shoelace wasn't around though, he doesn't approve of me patting other animals AT ALL.
The sky has been so rainy and moody lately. I think the weather affects my drawings a lot!
I've been a bit obsessed with drawing rain lately! Probably because it's been a rainy couple of weeks here in Auckland.
Tried to keep it a bit loose with this painting. Sometimes I need to remember that drawing every single detail isn't the most important thing, it's capturing the overall feel.
