Yesterday I went out to draw in a cafe and started drawing this scene to practice lighting and composition! It’s always a challenge to draw two characters in a vertical/portrait-style canvas, so I’ve been practicing ☺️ It’s not done yet but I wanted to show you some progress! Here is a new step-by-step tutorial guide for you! 🫶🏻 This one covers the skin rendering process of my recent portrait drawing, specifically focusing on how I create a mixture of warm and cool tones in the skin :) I used to only use warm tones in my rendering for skin, but skin naturally has lots of cool tones in it as well! This one shows the process for a pale skin tone, so in the future I’ll create guides for darker tones as well 🥰
