I really love doing mini's because they're so fast and silly, and the iPad is so tough for me to get used to working on again, so that's why most of these are very small, very minimal.

Yes, this is a nod to the very first page of this comic. 

Yes, I got lazy with trying to figure out how to do harsh lighting on GLOWING WHITE HAIR and decided that their hair canonically dims whenever the atmospheric light is too harsh(flash lighting, bright daylight, close lightning, etc) sort of like an automatic nightlight. Sue me. There's no real reasoning behind it, I'm just a lazy artist.
