Megan and Diane WiP

They're just sketches for now but I've been wanting to draw these two side-by-side. I've wondered if Diane's design was inspired by Megan in any way. They have a lot of similarities and I wonder if any of the artists that concepted her, in the off chance, saw Megan all those years ago and decided to incorporate some of her elements.

...Or vixens in suits is just a thing. Really could be either/or :P

Comp of Miscellaneous Girls

Here's a line up of some miscellaneous girls that may be or may not be in Pepper in the Sandbox. I figured, since I already have a bunch of these characters, I'd line them up side by side. It's always good to see how they compare to each other, like size and shape and stuff. Unfortunately, they're not all standing up straight so you can't really accurately judge but I'm too lazy to change them right now.

Just wanted to share some sketches. These get drawn relatively quicker than if I cleaned them up and colored them in. Pepper, Alternate Outfit

It's been a while since I've drawn Pepper and I wanted to do another outfit for fun. This one's more hip-hop-ey in theme. It's loose and oddly has a bunch of knots. 

Tsi Poses

I really like how this character looked so I drew more poses. When she's not actively trying to shoot somebody, the crosshair in her eye relaxes and widens. I also have another idea for her gun that I didn't get to draw here so I might do her again in the future.

Getting Ready to Fight

After noodling on this for a bit, I finally came to a result I don't completely hate😅. Trying to get the lighting right for this was trickier than I would have liked but it's close to what I had in my head.

There are two other images in there playing with slightly different lighting variations. I had one with moonlight seeping through and it was cool but made the scene feel more spacious, which wasn't what I wanted. So I took it out and just gave the scene a more fantasy glow from a ...

Dessert fresh from the shop

Make sure to eat the halo-halo* before the ice shavings melt! Otherwise, it's just becomes a milky drink with stuff in it 😅.

*Halo-halo is a desert with a base of ice shavings and drenched in sweetened milk, then topped with all sorts of sweets like ice-cream, flan, gelatin, fruits, and so on

Water is annoying to paint. That's what I got from this one lol. Especially if the water is doing some magical acrobatics.

Sanggoona Village

I was thinking there is a village that Pepper and Paddy venture into in search of the malice that ruined it, causing its inhabitants to abandon their homes, leaving the village to crumble and rot.

Decide

This was only supposed to be a study of a photo with a color palette I really liked. Y'know, loose, sketchy, and just overall trying to capture the essence of the reference image. You can probably tell that isn't were it stopped lol.

Stern

I haven't painted much of this guy so I thought I'd do one for him. Don't ask me where he is. I have no idea either :P But I'm sure he came to this place to brood. Or maybe he's looking at something off-screen.

I half-heartedly expected Disney to do the escrima sticks in one of their movies at some point in the future and it's in Raya and the Last Dragon. But it might be alright because it seems that Raya uses a sword at some point in the movie. Don't steal my thunder dude!

P.S. Just to make clear, I'm not hating on it. Just thought it was coincidental and that I was kinda expecting them to do it soon-ish. Looking forward to the movie though. Seemed interesting. What do you guys think...

Started out with just Pepper but thought she looked bare just by herself so I gave her a background.

Currently visiting some family in another state and there's this nice little place people can walk by and ride their bikes. Took a picture and thought I'd paint to get some practice in. Added Pepper and friend just 'cause :P

In A Trance

Just wanted an excuse to paint more of that red eye glow. It started out with just Pepper and then I thought she felt lonely so I gave her a background. 

Just Chillin'

Thought I'd share this with you guys as I'm working on it. It's not quite done yet but it's getting there. I'm also recording the painting process and I'll upload the video to youtube when I finish tweaking and editing it. Maybe some of you guys might like seeing that.

Exploring some alternate events

Just messing around with some ideas in my head. Also wanted to do a pass on the red eye effect and see what I can do with that. Gonna do some variations and find what works better.

I don't know if I've posted Pepper here before but I think I have. Anyway, I wondered what she would look like if she was a teen and here she is! I had a pseudo-game idea I have in my head that involves her and a bunch of other characters. I might show you guys at some point when I've made the rest.
