XOXO Blood Droplets Progress Update (May 2019)

Hello!

We wanted to give our supporters here a quick update on the current statis and future plans for XOXO Blood Droplets. First a little bad news, we won’t be able to expand the XOXO Blood Droplets beta this month. The programmer and writer is the same person (it’s me, haha. XOXO Blood Droplets: Cipher

Secret Project (R): Prologue CG 3

The prologue for XOXO Reunion is coming along! Here's another CG for it. You get to see the little dorks in their classic style before meeting them again as adults.

You might feel bad for Shi since he doesn't get to be pictured with the other jerks. But he's sitting next to JB and is much happier there.

Extra Content Poll: Game Choice (May 2019) (ENDED)

We're at the second tier goal of our Patreon now (It says 99% at the moment, but it's less than one dollar off)! Thank you all so much <3. Because of that we'll be able to have a couple extra polls this month to determine what kind of stuff you'd like to see added/expanded on in our projects.

XOXO Droplets: Decide JB's Ribbon (ENDED)

This is for XOXO Droplets: The Visual Novel and XOXO Reunion. Both show JB as her high school self, but neither of those games have an accessory system. So we'll have to decide which, if any, ribbon gets worn around her neck. Here are the contenders!

Our Life: Pamela Last (Sketch, Side Character, Multiple Steps)

Jamie, the protagonist of Our Life, is the adopted child of a lesbian couple. One half of that pair is Pamela who goes by Mom. Here's the initial sketch of her design! Jamie's parents only have headshots instead of thigh-up sprites because they appear in all four Steps but we don't have the means to give them different outfits/poses four times. Just Cove gets that kind of special treatment, haha. Still, she's very lovely.

Our Life: Step 4 Cameo Poll (ENDED)

Alright, the previous poll has ended and the winner was a Step 4 Cameo of Side XOD Characters (who aren't appearing in XOXO Reunion)! So we'll be voting on which specific character it'll be now. 

Whichever character is chosen will appear in the final Step of Our Life, which hasn't been entirely planned yet. Their role in the chapter is currently undecided. Perhaps they will have moved to the area or maybe they'll be around on a business trip or for a vacation or maybe they'll be a ...

XOXO Droplets: Bae Sprite

Another sprite in the updated style! Bae's casual outfit ended up being the shawl look, but with a different color scheme. He's devilishly handsome.

And we're now at the final poll for casual outfits! Pran's looks could all be tweaked to be more temperature-neutral, so none have been cut.

We're actually making some progress on the XOXO Reunion prologue. So far we've been doing a lot of general plans and stuff for the far future. Now we're taking some steps to having early parts of the game truly come together. That's pretty exciting. And it looks like JB is receiving some thrilling news herself.

Secret Project (E) Prologue CG 1

Here's the the CG at the start of the game that shows off your main character. How lovely. You can choose the above style of MC or the below one. You can also decide what pronouns to use separately from the appearance. As in, your MC won't automatically be called by she/her pronouns just because you pick the MC with longer hair.

Secret Project (R): Guy 1- Cut In CG 1

Along with full CGs, there are also some close up cut-ins! Since this game has a lot more emphasis on romance we want to show the characters physically interacting regularly, but that can be very time consuming for the artist. These cut-ins will be used when it's not practical or feasible to include additional full screen images.

XOXO Reunion now has a logo! The artist came up with many lovely possibilities but the one we went with was-

I'd say it's pretty snazzy. We'll often use the logo in other forms, such as without the icon on top or the lines on the sides.

Our Life: Step 1 CG (Sketch)

One of the special DLC scenes in Our Life is this cute moment when the MC and Cove are still kids. He's at their house for a sleepover. Instead of going to bed he stays up to read under the covers. 

XOXO Blood Droplets (Ending Card Gallery)

We were able to get a new feature in XOXO Blood Droplets to work! Now when you click the number of an ending you've unlocked you'll be able to see the Ending Card associated with it. This is a lot more effective than having a normal gallery setup for the end cards. I think it's excellent that this worked out.

Cove is back after the first time skip of the game! He's a teen now.  Cove had a growth spurt over the last couple years. He’s the tallest person in his class.
