So I was staring at Maggie as she was rendering and I thought I would do some experiments..
A problem sometimes arises when two large muscle shapes inter-penetrate.. Such as her huge bicep and her forearm. This tends to cause havoc with the skin simulation process. Sometimes the skin gets pushed behind the muscles and causes problems..
So I was thinking about the possibility of using soft-bodies to make the "problem muscles" smoosh against each-other rather than penet...

Maggie's skin is simulated! And it looks great! Rendering should be starting within a few hours. Just have a few things to set up with this new data.

As predicted, I was busy all day taking care of nonsense.. I mean.. Business. I did, however, get a few minutes to spend with Maggie, so I re-modeled her tricep muscles; making them shaped better and just a bit bigger. Tomorrow I will get to work on her skinny-skin-skin.

Good news and bad news. Good news first.
Today I remastered her deltoids. They were too small in the last animation so I pumped them up larger. And they are also more efficiently modeled (more use of LWBrush). I know I shouldn't be spending time adding more improvements and just focus on finishing the animation, but I really feel it needed this.

Hey all!
I have animated Maggie's eyes, eyelids, eybrows, scapulas and breathing. Basically everything is animated except for her muscle flexing and bouncing. You might think it is a simple step but this pectoral rig is pretty complex; It has four controls for each side.
Anyway.. It's looking great and we're getting closer. Thank you for your patience with me on this!

You would not believe how many things I did to try and fix this.. tearing down parts of the rig and re-rigging them... Anyway.. I finally fixed the glitch. Time was lost which was unfortunate, but the original rig was restored. I was afraid I would have to scale things back to make it all work.

I have finished animating Maggie's hands and fingers. I also spent a few hours just fine tuning various parts of the animation. It's come a long way since the raw motion capture data. I'm very pleased with her so far.. Next comes facial animation! Stay tooned! :D

I'm pleased to report that all of the motion-capture data has been cleaned up and is lookin' nice. There are still things to animate.. Hands/fingers, face and muscle flexing/dynamics.
For those who are keeping score the frame count is 2,292 frames. That is 76.47476 seconds, or 1 minute, 16 seconds.
More to come!
This animation is still cooking. I currently expect it to be done around the 8th if all goes well. I will keep you all informed on it's progress. Thank you for making this possible with your amazing support!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy belated Turkey-Day for those of you in the United States.
Here's a progress report on the next animation. Maggie's chest muscles were partially re-modeled and rigged for flexing and growth. This is the most sophisticated pectoral rig I've ever created. The movement is very real! Like Colette Guimond (But bigger). If you like rolling, bouncing, flexing pecs, you are gonna love this next animation.

I rigged her upper eyelids for animation.. She just.. Really needed it. Note that I changed her eyeshadow near the end.
This is just for fun... I rendered this out while I slept.
See those lines under her eyes that look like surgery scars? I fixed that. -after I rendered this.

I am going to stop working on her face for now. She can't move her eyelids yet, but everything else is very expressive. I need to move on to the actual animation if I want to get this thing done close to the end of the month...

I re-modeled her eyebrows to require much fewer polygons and of course rigged them for the full range of brow-related expressions. They also need corresponding winkles in the skin to appear with various poses but I won't have time to get to that for this animation unfortunately... Next time.
Updates:
Corners of mouth can widen and narrow
Lips flatten when the mouth widens
Upper lip pulls upward when mouth widens (and lips not sealed)
Lips can keep sealed even when jaw opens

Hey everybody,
Little update for ya... As you may have noticed Maggie's face did not move in the last animation. Did not have time for that after the muscle rigging. So I am installing some facial articulation.
Here is a look at her jaw bone animating. Previously her lips were sealed. I had to cut her mouth open and model the interior of her pie hole.

I've just made another technological breakthrough.. And this is regarding breast physics. Now I can finish the Candice Bosom Tonic animation! Woohoo! When exactly I can get to this I don't know, but I am relieved that I now have that problem solved.

I am so happy... And relieved. The skin simulation for Maggie's new animation is currently calculating. It might be done when I wake up tomorrow.. Or it may take a few hours more. It's going pretty slow.
