Hey ho..  I sculpted this during my steam.  She's still -very- rough.  I've been trying to emulate Zebodoy's style for the most part.  Till next update, keep your pants happy!

Leap Motion

I just saw this nifty little device.  I'm wondering if I could use it with my 3D software.  Potentially, I could use it to not only puppet finger animations, but I could also puppet facial animation, or animate the entire body with my hands (in multiple passes).  It would be a $200 gamble.  Hmmmm..

Masseter Muscles

Hi there.. Sorry for all of the incremental updates.

I got a request from one of you to give Talia prominent masseter (jaw clenching) muscles.  Just installed them!

Talia Eyebrows Part 1

Tragically, the last 1.5 days have been pretty much a wash.  Some rendering got done, but most of the time was spent getting my computer back to working order since I had to reformat my C drive.

Here's a bit of a Talia update.  The next update will be much more cool.  I have some more, cooler parts of it done already, but it's not ready for prime time yet.

Fun Day!

I got up today and noticed there was a prompt to download an update to Windows..  So I downloaded the ~500MB update and installed it.  Windows told me I needed to reboot for the changes to take effect.  So I shut down my rendering and restarted my machine.

It would not boot.  It recommended I inserted my Windows disk and chose to repair Windows.

I did so and it said it was not able to do this.  My only recourse was to format my C drive and reinstall Window...

Talia Giving You Lip

Here's a bit of an update on her face rig.  I have more components prepared, it's just not..quite..ready..yet.

In other news, Suki's rendering has passed the 1/3rd completion mark.

Talia Face Update

Hullo.  More mouthing off from Talia.  I don't know how much work I will be able to get done tomorrow as I have a funeral to attend in a nearby state.  My cool uncle passed away peacefully in his sleep (unless he was having unpleasant dreams at the time, then it was less than peacefully).  Of course Suki will continue to render.

Talia Mugging

Hello!

I made another mouth shape today, as you can see.  I also made extensive changes to her teeth and tongue (not shown).  I've cropped out the top of her head because not all of her hair is turned on right now.  I still need to put the pink stuff in the corners of her eyes and yeah, gotta fix that seam on her chin!

Guest Artist, Suki & Talia Updates

So the guest artist thing isn't happening.  Nobody can do it for me any time soon.  It was a good idea, but it just came to me too late.  Perhaps we can give it a try for the character after Talia in 6-8 months.  HAVING SAID THAT...  There's no reason why I cannot try to emulate the style of Gettar, or Zebody, or whomever.  So I think that's what I shall do for her body.

This system has HEAVY use of the new NodeMeister plugin you all helped me buy and it is a tremendous help.  You have no idea!!  Thank you!  As I stated before, me getting these recent purchases (NodeMesiter / more memory) won't be fully realized until I make a whole new character.

Talia's Eyes Redone

I remodeled and surfaced Talia's eyes from scratch.  I noticed the proportions of the cornea to the eyeball as a whole was off in the eyeball I've used in the past animations, so this is more accurate.  Also Talia's eyeholes and eyelashes were adjusted to fit to the new eyeballs.

I still need to model the pink stuff that goes between her eyeholes and eyeballs.

Breathtaking Improvements in Talia

I've been looking more closely at how the ribcage expands (or has the potential to expand) when breathing deeply.  In the past I made breathing a simple linear transition between two shapes.  But as you can see above the sternum moves out, and then up as you breathe more deeply.  I've also learned that bodybuilders can exercise their diaphragm to more dramatically expand their ribcage.  It seems to be a more old-school form of bodybuilder posing.

Guest Artist for Talia?

I've posted a couple of commission requests for artists who may be interested in drawing a 3-view schematic for Talia's body.  I thought it would be neat to bring in another artist's style for this next character.  Personally, I hope Gettar81 wants to do it. ;)

Obviously it is ultimately me who lays down the polygons for Talia, but I will do what I can to retain the look and feel of the source art as I bring it into the third dimension.

Rendering Has Begun

Above is the first frame.  It is an establishing shot, so the camera is further away.

Note this is going to take a while, maybe a couple of weeks or more.  This is roughly a 6,500 frame animation (four minutes).  I will take a couple of days to relax and then start working on Talia while this renders.

Suki Update!

I've just finished simming the main part of Suki's gown.  I still need to sim a skirt part that hangs down in the front and rear, but this....  This was the challenge.  She was fighting me tooth and nail but I eventually won.  I'll keep you updated as more gets done.

Suki's Hair is ... Done?

I've simmed up and set up her hair.  However, I think I want to re-sim the front of front hair.  Not really happy with the results.  So the hair should be all done in a couple of hours.

I've hit some kind of crash wall with Lightwave on her hair.  If I activate hair then save the project, Lightwave will then crash upon loading that project.  This means I need to save all hair settings for last.  I've saved out settings files fo...

Boobies now fully boobular.  Next I will sim hair...or clothing.  I haven't decided yet.

YES!  I've got her animation and simmed body parts all processed and blended together to her main body.  -with the exception of her boobies.  I'll sim those after I sleep.  She's looking super fly.

Geting close now!  After her boobies I sim her hair, and then put a dress on her.  And I want to try something fun with her dress.  I want it to look like Jessica Rabbit's dress -except more revealing.  But you know what I mean with all of the sparkle s...

Suki Progress

The problems mentioned in my previous post are resolved.  I am transferring her simmed body parts to her final model, but to finish that I also need to animate her muscle flexes.  So this may take a day or so.

Suki Update Note

I've finished simming Suki's "muscle suit" over the top of her skinny core.  That's good.

There are a few problems with her lower legs and arse that were not visible in previous Suki animations but will be very obvious in this one.  That is bad.

Frustratingly, I think I need to make a new butt / thigh proxy model, bone weight it make joint compensation sculpts like I did for her wrists a few days back.  Frustrating because all of this will be used in only one animat...
