The version number of the next update has been changed from v0.9.1 to v0.10. You get a hint why in the teaser below.

Adding more story elements to the next update also means that the development time will increase. No estimated release month yet.

Work on the next update is in progress. I'm currently calling it v0.9.1, meaning a content update with no/little focus on the investigation/main story, but that may change and then it would be v0.10. We'll see.

I'm currently playing through all new content for v0.9, fixing and adding stuff that's missing. When I'm done with that, I will determine if I should add more content for v0.9, or start with the playtesting before release. So I'm still not sure if the release will be in October or November. I will let you know as soon as I know.

Work on v0.9 continues. I'm hoping for an October release, but, that said, the current estimated release month is October or November.

Based on the poll that showed many of you want to see more school content, I have now added a new questline at the school -- a questline I've had in mind for some time. The questline is focusing on the students rather than the nuns. So more schoolgirls :)

Patreon iOS app

The poll question is: Do you use the iPhone Patreon app to pay for your Patreon subscription?

Having taken it slow to enjoy the nice summer and recharge my batteries, I'm getting back to a more normal amount of time spent working on the game.

It's too early to estimate a release date for v0.9 but it will not be in August. That's all I can say right now.

Next update will probably be v0.9, a bigger update continuing the investigation. I'm currently working on the most "detectivy" event in the game so far where you will investigate [something] for clues and decide what to do.

As usual, work will probably go slower during the summer, especially when the apartment gets really hot - which it haven't yet, so I'm trying to put in a little extra work while I can.

I have some final polishing to do, but v0.8 should be ready to be released to my beta testers in one or two days. Then a few days of testing before it will be released here.

V0.8 will be released in June, hopefully the first half, but there is still too much to finish before I can estimate the release date closer.

Player devices and platforms

How do you primarily play the Monastery? Do you download it, or do you play it from a website (like Mopoga, Gamcore, etc)?

I assumed most people on a computer downloads, but if you play on a website using a computer, select the "download" option for your OS. This poll is mostly about identifying computer versus phone users.

New content with the poll winner Novice Julia has been added to the coming v0.8. It was something I had in mind for her, having prepared it storywise, so it was easy to add it now. There's a good chance I will add more content with her in future updates too, but nothing is decided yet on that front.

V0.8 will not be ready for a May release. I'm hoping to get it ready for June.

The result of the latest poll is very useful. I will certainly take it into consideration, and you can at the very least expect more lewd content with the most popular women in future updates. Fans of Jana can look forward to v0.8 as I've already completed new content with her.

There is still much left to do on V0.8. I won't rule out a May release yet, but a June release is currently looking the most likely.

There will most likely be a March release. It looks like it will happen within two weeks. 

I will probably call it v0.7.1 instead of v0.8 since there won't be much content specific to the main investigation.

Hey, guys! Work on the next update is well underway. I haven't yet decided if I'm gonna make it v0.8 or v0.7.1 (still a fair amount of content but no heavy story/investigation-related progress). Because of this, I currently can't estimate a release date or even a release month. It won't be February, that's all I can say.

I'm happy with the result of the two polls, especially the fact that you players are interested in both paths. That makes it so much more fun to create content, knowing...

There is a lot of testing, rewriting, and polishing to be done, but the content for v0.7 is essentially done. I will try to get v0.7 released this month, aiming for around the 20th, but the release could be postponed until early February if I can't make it in time.

Hey, guys. Work on v0.7 is progressing well. I had to pause game development for a few days when my work hard drive broke. It's been with me since 2015, so it's served me well. No progress on the game was lost since I continuously back up everything game related. I ordered a new drive, and while waiting for it to arrive, I saved what I still could from the broken drive, stuff unrelated to the game that I hadn't backed up.
