In California we had record breaking rain and snow this past winter, which primed drought-stricken semi-arid and desert regions of Southern California for a massive super bloom of wildflowers the likes of which we hadn't seen in years. Unfortunately I didn't have too much opportunity to go shoot the super bloom, and most of the good sites were so crowded with people that is was hard to do a nude shoot in any of the really photogenic spots.

If I remember and see a good opportunity, I will ask my subject to just go for a stroll while nude through whatever place we are shooting. Often we talk about some random topic while we walk. I follow along to make footage of their buns bouncing along through the environment. I can't explain how this idea came to my mind, but I have had this ...

A few previews from the four sets that I added to the Archive folder for $20 and up patrons in the last couple weeks. For those patrons who have access, go look for these recent folders of shoots with Celia, Daniella, Kozy, and Joe.

I had so many images that I liked from this shoot. I don't know why. When I was shooting I didn't think it was going that well. Lilith had never shot underwater, and she had a lot of ideas in her mind about what shooting in water was like, and what we could achieve under the circumstances that were not very realistic, and she (like all models i have worked with underwater) was discovering just how challenging it was to try and actually model underwater. &nbs...

Alright folks, I know i probably won't get much (or any) feedback here, and that is ok (I support models and photographers here on Patreon myself and am not super vocal), but I thought I would make one post regarding this patreon project of mine now that i am about 6 months into it, and touch on a couple things.
- First: I have been making a bunch of posts the last week, trying to get back on the ball. The two months I wasn't able to focus on this project due to an intense period in ...

Cacia Zoo and I didn't get to Death Valley until almost sunset, and didn't get to the inn until night time, so we ate dinner, smoked weed and drank and chatted before turning in for the night. We got up early the next day and drove the road that follows one edge of...

This was the third time Cacia Zoo and I had shot together since we had met the month before. The week before we had shot underwater together for the first time, and now made a plan for our first road trip together - a quick overnight trip to Death Valley. I h...

Going through the stuff i was planning to post in this week, it seems like I was drawn to shoots with models with certain....assets. I guess i don't shoot a lot of busty women, and they present their specific challenges and rewards, but mostly I this string of choices made me think about the draw to the human bosom. Maybe this is clinical and not interesting to some to break down the appeal of big boobs, but I ramble on my Patreon...

I remember that this shoot was definitely one of those really good excuses to beat the heat of the Los Angeles summer, and Pris had her own pool, so it was really casual to drop by her place on a weekday afternoon for a swim, but I brought along my whole underwater ri...

Uploaded this old set of images of my friend Daniella from the first time I explored Bear Canyon in the Angeles National Forest back in June, 2014. It was a really nice discovery and the canyon went on to be the setting for probably 15 more shoots. Its far off trail, so no one is ever there, despite it not being far from Los Angeles, so i...

One of my favorite things about doing this kind of photography is getting to make images of someone while they are experiencing the particular majesty of California for the first time. My friend Tasha was visiting the US for the first time ever, and started her trip by landing in LA to stay with me and go on a road trip to see some natu...

One of the more special things to me about California is its two species of redwood trees, the Coast Redwood (tallest tree species in the world) and the Sequoia (biggest tree by mass). Both grow in very distinct, narrow bands in a two very different parts of the state, and both are intense wonders to behold in person. Strangely though, many of the places that have really good groves of these trees, are scarcely visited, which makes them great places to visit for photographing friends who l...

This was the first time since I got this Patreon going earlier this year, that I slacked off on posting due to the interference of my other job as half of art duo kozyndan, but we just had a big exhibition open in Los Angeles (actually a double exhibition), and preparing for it swallowed all my waking hours the last few weeks!

Sometimes when Cacia Zoo would come to town for a spell she would stay with me. often she was busy with shoots, but we always found time to hang and goof around and do our own little projects. I was going through a bunch of (mostly iPhone) images from one visit and remembered all these funny, sexy, weird, goofy memories. I put a little collection of the images in the Memory Vault for $20 and up patro...

I should have asked my friend Moss to snap pics of me shooting - this is all photos i took watching him shoot June, still the very truthful images of what its like to shoot in flowers here are amusing in the utmost, don't you think??

While June and I were shooting in this cave at Leo Carrillo Beach in Malibu, CA, we were joking about getting shots for her Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue shots. When I look back on them now though, she probably SHOULD be hired for swimwear shoots! Smolder on June, smolder on.

If you have a good location, a few articles of clothing and a skilled model, its kind of amazing how many different looks you can get in a morning of shooting. A photographer friend asked me to tag along on a shoot he planned with June St.Paul on a Spring morning in Malibu, CA. It was real pleasure to me to watch two professionals at work (and put my two creative two cents in as well). More sets (and videos) from ...

Digging through footage for an ongoing.... project, for lack of a better word? Whenever I remember I try to shoot some video footage just following the person I am shooting while they walk. I love this idea of seeing walking butts in all kinds of beautiful nature spots, and usually listening to whatever mundane conversation we may be having. I havee always called the series (and by "called" I mean I named the folder I was stashing all the videos in) "Hiking Butts", but i probab...

I don't always make a post about this, but I have been gradually adding full sets to the Archive for those at the $20 tier (Tangible Patron) and above.
