Happy Halloween, folks! This week, we're discussing a handful of Frankenstein related segments from various Simpsons episodes, mainly from Treehouse of Horror specials.
If you want to follow along at home, we're discussing:
"Homer's Nightmare" from Treehouse of Horror 2
The season 14 episode "I'm Spelling as Fast as I Can" which I think we misattribute in the recording
"Frinkenstein" from Treehouse of Horror 14
The opening sequence from Treehouse of H...

We talked about the "Monster Mash" last year as a bonus episode on the main feed, and we figured it was time to talk about another classic novelty song from the Monster Craze of the 50s and 60s.
This one ended up sending Anthony down a wild rabbit hole of research. This is why he's the Mad Scientist.

Haven't you always wanted to go to an aquatic mammal trick show/folk music performance with The Munsters? I teased this saying it was an Easter parade. It's not. It WAS technically an Easter special, though, you would never know it.
Mostly what it is, is a double length episode of The Munsters except all the extra time is spent with dolphin tricks and songs by the New Christie Minstrels.
It's really only worth your time because it's a long-lost curiosity recently recov...

Look at what we do for you people. Yes, we seriously sat down and took notes while watching the 2008 Hustler Munsters parody. It's... surprisingly good.
Join us as we get weirded out by Marilyn's mysterious boyfriend, spoil the secret of what's in the tube, and turn in Roxy Deville superfans.

As we mentioned in this week's main feed episode, next week we are discussing Director's Commentary: Terror of Frankenstein, a film that's pretty difficult to track down.
Lucky for all of our listeners, I was able to get in touch with the director, Tim Kirk, and he offered to sell DVDs directly to anyone interested. You can email him at tim2kirk@yahoo.com for more information.
But as a special thank you to our Patrons, I have a password protected Vimeo link where you c...

We're continuing Munsters Month with this fun little curiosity, the 1964 storybook album At Home With The Munsters. Join us as we take a tour of the Munsters' house, hear Herman and Lily try to steal our jobs by recapping their favorite episodes, and most importantly, hear some creepy kids sing some creepy lyrics to the Munsters' Theme Song.
You can listen to the album here:

We're kicking off Munsters Month here on Patreon with this groovy(?) attempt to make The Munsters into The Archies. It's not the best incarnation of the Munsters, but it's a fun, mostly inoffensive little curiosity.
Note: When we watched this, we were under the impression that this was just a 22 minute episode of television, but since then I have learned that it originally aired as an hour-long (44 min.) special, and was later cut in half and re-aired. I've been able to track down...

We had two little bits of Weird Science related ephemera that we wanted to dig into a little bit, but that didn't fit into the episode proper, so join us for some Weird Science bonus features. We're discussing the Oingo Boingo song "Weird Science" as well as its accompanying music video. We're also talking about the Funny or Die short "Weird Science 2: Strange Chemistry".

Hey fiends! What happens when a fan-mag journalist gets bored and decides to try his hand at fiction? Join us as we discuss this curiosity from Weird Tales in 1932.
The link below contains not only LeBerthon's story, but also Ray Jones' original series of photographs that inspired LeBerthon to write this. Enjoy!

We'll be doing two episodes at a time, so the first episode handles Munster Masquerade and My Fair Munster. We briefly mention the unaired pilot (also available on archive.org), but I wouldn't ca...

If you're doing a podcast where you just talk about Frankenstein and Frankenstein-adjacent movies all the time, it's important to figure out what exactly counts as a Frankenstein movie.
In this spiritual sequel to "Why Frankenstein?", one of our most popular early episodes, join us as we talk about what's Frankenstein and what isn't. We go to some weird places and talk ourselves into adding some movies to our list that we're less than excited about.
We also laugh more ...

Hey fiends!
Thanks for joining us on this wild new experiment! We're hoping that this will be a place that we can nerd out about Frankenstein in more weirdly specific ways. We love chatting with folks on social media and over email, but we'll be even more excited to chat with the true Real Ones here behind the paywall!
Let us know what you like and what you don't on here. We really want this to feel like a community. If you have ideas for something you'd like to see, let us know. ...
