I always liked working on the moonlight images because I got to play with different lighting. Most of Crush Crush is set in a happy high noon setting/atmosphere so it was just a nice change to do something dark.

I ended up re-using many parts of Nina's original design for her final poses. Almost all of the artwork was done in the other style, but last minute we switched up her character appeal and went down the fiery red-head route. That didn't leave me much time so the quality isn't up to the same standards as Mio or Quill's linework, but overall I'm happy with her color scheme and everything else. Yay Nina!

YUCK! Okay... These are the really old original designs for Nina and I swear I must have been on some cough medicine or something because the colors are so whacky and it's just, bleugh in my opinion. Her final design (as a red head) worked out so much better and I'm really thankful we didn't stick with this design. It was just confusing - is she a waitress/maid/candy maker? It's not a clear design, and the colors clash a bit. Anyhoo, this is part of Nina's history so now you know <3

In anticipation of our 1-year birthday since the very first launch of Crush Crush on Kongregate, Mio's birthday (and my birthday) I sketched this pic. It's Mio feeding grapes to Oji Panda and Programmer Panda! Haha
The lines are a little wobbly because I actually drew this while I was riding a train, so it was a wee bit bumpy.
When did you guys first play Crush Crush? I'm super curious to see how many people were playing it in its early days on Kong.

For now, I wanted to share some early work-in-progress stuff of Mio in 3D along with my corrections/feedback beside each shot. It takes a lot of time to go over 3D and make sure it translates correctly from my 2D drawings, but it's worth going over with a fine comb... I want Mio to look her best! <3

Bearverly is sad that Crush Crush will be wrapping up soon... we're aiming to release our final girls Feb 9 for the one year anniversary. It's not over-over though, as we're planning to update with events and fully voiced characters in upcoming months... and the visual novel will have Crush Crush girls... Here are the two states for Cassie's sexy times in the Moist and Uncensored version :3 I considered adding fluids in the second frame but decided against it, since not everyone likes that. Huniepop has it as an option you can toggle on/off I believe, but I kinda prefer keeping our girls like this? Would be curious to hear your thoughts so I know what you'd like to see in future illustrations of the girls.
