In a Novympia first, yer gerls are travelling up to Liverpool to see some Eurovision action in person. Having started watching Eurovision shortly after the UK won the last time in 1997, we've never even come close to being able to see the show on home turf. Now whereas the first prediction video for the 2023 Eurovision semis was fairly concise, this was an absolute disaster. Cocaine Bear is a 2023 American comedy horror film directed by Elizabeth Banks very loosely based on the story of the 'Cocaine Bear'. Nova and I saw this last week and it's a solidly daft B-movie outing that we can recommend for a mindless afternoon. What is isn't however, is a faithful adaptation of the true story about an American black bear that fatally overdosed on cocaine in 1985, which is worthy of a whole other discussion.
