I'm sorry for being so quiet guys- usually I like to post at least warm-up sketches to you guys as often as I can (daily if possible), but as you can imagine life got super hectic as soon as the festive season struck!
Despite that, I've been working hard on getting the thumbnails for Quick Study done and I've finally finished them. They're not much to look at yet but as I keep working on the comic they'll shape up nicely I think.

Bexley underwent the most drastic transformation between herself and Carmen, since her original design was much closer to that of a cow (see the attachments)...I hope you'll agree that this is a change for the better and is overall a much stronger (and more fun) design!
After the morbidness of Skin Deep I really wanted to have a much more light-hearted comic before we move on with the story of Skin Deep, the next chapter of which will hopefully also be more light-hearted than Skin Dee...

I'm finally done fiddling with Carmen and Bexley's designs! They've both undergone quite a transformation in the past week or so, but I'm very pleased with the results :3. I hope you are too!

I'm continuing to fiddle with Carmen and Bexley's designs while I work on this commission and I've gotta say that I really like where their dynamic is going!
At first, they were gonna be about the same height but I decided to make Carmen much shorter and give her a BIG attitude to compensate for her height loss.
I'm also thinking about making her French so whenever she curses it's in French hahah ^_^;;...With Bexley being British I can imagine lots of fun little jabs they'd take at one a...

Introducing Nailah's theme, composed and performed by Fox Amoore & Co.!
When I commissioned the theme I really wanted it to reflect her cool exterior, but to hint that there was something a bit unstable about her underneath all that aloof, and maybe something a little sad buried deep behind her veneer or placidity.
Fox Amoore has captured Nailah in song beautifully and I'm proud to say yoy guys are the first to listen to this piece now that it's done.

Here's the completed version of the cover for the first volume of Waystone!
As promised I kept the halo but tried to make it a bit more subtle than it was in the sketch. I've also compiled a WIP video which I'll be using to debut Nailah's theme which was composed and performed by Fox Amoore!
I'm super excited to get that video compiled and posted, and you guys will definitely be the first to see it! I'd like to work on it now but need to wait until my computer's done syncing files...

I changed the theme of this image from the sketch to a more gothic, almost Castlevania-like theme and I think I really like it :3...I'm hoping I can make this clothing work as well because it's kinda reminiscent of Dr. Strange and I've ALWAYS loved the good Doctor. It's nice to know he has a good movie now :).

The patch on Damion's shoulders is that of a Peacekeeper (as opposed to Tsenaya's "Gearkeeper" patch), which is the more conventional arm of the Waykeepers that takes care of the day-to-day peace keeping activities. They still fall under the jurisdiction of Prefects like Nailah since they usually work alongside Waykeepers to maintain public order.

October has been one hectic month! Not only did I manage to successfully launch a new tier thanks to my Commissioners, but I also managed to get a full load of work done and the visit from my overseas friend went quite well (even though we were both SUPER tired by the time the trip was over).
Even though I didn't get to make a start on Quick Study or to do the Toriel pinup like I intended to do this month, I still managed to wrap up Skin Deep with a final, melancholy page featuring Nailah...
