I tried to make the engagement ring reminiscent of a nut, with octagonal edging as homage to what Tsenaya does for a living. At first it didn't have any diamonds in it but if you look really closely there are three (I thought she might want it a little fancy, even if she took it off during work hours).

Still fiddling around with style and finish for my comics so please excuse my dust as I experiment a little! As you can see I've changed my Patreon logo again and I'll be going back over the previous two pages to update them as well, just to make sure everything is nice and uniform.
Had lots of fun doing the graphic city-scape in the background here heheh...other than that all I'll say is things are starting to get really intimate between these two!

Robert made a really cool suggestion on the sketch post for the Chrysalis pinup, that one of the background pods should have a frustrated Cadence inside, unable to do anything about what's happening to her husband.

This was actually a lot more fun to draw than I thought! I'm hoping the strange angle is reinforced by the direction her hair is drooping in versus his hair inside the cocoon itself.
I was thinking about doing this as a YCH style image for my Pharaohs but I think I'd prefer if we left him as being a recaptured Shining Armor (sorry for the disappointment!).

This was gonna get spread across two pages, with the first page being Joshua gathering up his courage ("I've got this...") which was supposed to echo his line in Skin Deep just before he gets put to sleep.
However, I found as I was drawing this page it flowed much better to have him just break the question to her as a result of what she said without the need for a delay. I'm hoping to incorporate a gear into the ring somehow since that would show how familiar he is with her interests...<...

The dialog on this page went through like 10 rewrites hahah ^_^;;....
It's surprisingly hard to write a conversation between two lovers which doesn't feel forced or sappy (I'm looking at you, Attack of the Clones), but with Ozawk and Ghostbane's help I think the conversation between Joshua and Tsenaya comes off as fairly natural with just a little awkward in there to make it realistic.
