Sketching these pages in batches actually works really well! I kinda wish I'd have done this from the beginning, as it helps keep the characters and flow a lot more consistent between the pages, and it helps when inserting the dialog as well.
Tsenaya's emotions on all three pages were a refreshing change to the dower, shy little jackal we've seen so far, and it was nice to draw a smile on her face in these comics for a change! Hopefully I'll have more chances to make her smile in ...

A slightly busy October awaits me as we turn over another month! Here's the last page before the morning-after scene! There were a bunch of redraws on Tsenaya on this one too, as you can tell from the differences between the sketch and the inks/ final piece. In hindsight I think I probably should have just changed the angle from which the scene is shot in the first panel, but it's too late now! That might have lessened the amount of space needed for dialog anyways.
So that's it for the sex scene in Sleepless Nights! Now it's on to getting that Mora ...

You wouldn't believe how many times I had to redraw Tsenaya on this page to get her to work right hahah ^_^;;....there were at least 5 or 6 different renditions between the first ink, when I realized her face looked really weird in both panels, and the final ink, where I finally just decided to completely redraw her in the lower panel. Looking back on it, her head's still a bit too big in the upper panel, but by the time I realized it I was already in the middle of coloring her!

I'm trying something a little different with my workflow, where I'm actually working on all three comic pages for the month simultaneously to see if it speeds up my workflow. It turns out that it actually slows down my workflow a little, but that I end up with pages that are a bit more consistent as they go since I'm able to make adjustments and corrections on the fly between pages without needing to mess with their colors and backgrounds.
