Elizabeth (Liz) Preview

This is Liz. If you got a good memory she should need no introduction. Worked on her coz it was fun. Not saying she's gonna make it into Ep6. Also don't ask if she's a potential you know what... should be enough hints in game.

Bonus is out.

Done with the top tier bonus reward. Will take a couple days off from the game and then start on the next episode.

Quick Update

Starting work on ep5's bonus. That's the mainmenu BG up there. Hopefully will take no longer than a week. After that I'll start work on ep6.

EP5 is around 70% done. But that 70 is 70% of something like EP4's length. That's the minimum update size I'd be willing to put out. EP5's actual size might end up to be bigger. And that would take longer. Not willing to get ETA atm.

Time for an update

Okay it's getting close to the end of the month and the supposed release date of EP5..... Yeah that aint happening. I'm behind. Like WAYYY behind. Not even 50% on the script yet at this point.

So what have I been doing all this time? Well started ep5 a lil late coz I was a bit too ambitious on ep4's bonus while still running an old ass GFX card. But now that I got the new one I can handle more detailed scenes. So EP5 introduced two new rooms so far and I packed them with a lot of crap:<...

New Card Is In

Used Octobers earnings to get this (the top one. lower is the old card). Its in and working with manageable temps under load. Did a gigantic (3584x4607) render of the last teaser as a test.

Couldnt sleep earlier today some made this. Just a few hours work, it's based on a real photo of someone (join the discord to find out who).

Right-Click and "Save Image As" to get the full res.

Quick Update.

I've been a little quiet since release but still working on the bonus and haven't started ep5 yet. Got a little overambitious with it and it's kicking my butt. Will me being so slow with it eat into ep5's dev time? Sure but I'm also hoping to get a major upgrade to my GFX card next month (looking at my Patreon earnings it should just about cover it if I use everything) so that should help quite a bit.

Public release of ep4 will come out at the end of this month. I'll also release the ep...

Progress Report

EP4 is 95% done. 

To Patrons, I know in the Poll I said It'd take an extra week or so pass the original deadline (which is today) to finish it. But can't make that. Anything I say will just sound like excuses but know that I'm working flat out.

EP4 is coming out towards the end of this week for sure. It'll have more renders than ep3 (which was at 353 renders) but actual play time is about the same I think. If you felt ep3 was short this one will feel the same, but I hope you ...

Ep4 Release Poll

I need to stop doing what ever the hell I want without asking folks what they think first. So... what do you guys prefer?

1. Release at the end of the month as per usual but episode ends in a cliff. Not a stupid cliff where you smack face-first into but one that make sense.

2. Extend deadline for about a week to finish the episode as intended. 

Whatever you choose know that I'll probably slip on the next episode too without a taking a lot of short cuts to get the fucked...

Progress Report And EP4 Conclusion

10 Days to go to deadline and I'm only coming up to 50% of the planned length for ep4. So I don't think I'm gonna be able to end the entire day on this release. It's gonna end in a cliff. And the rest of the day and the next will continue in ep5. I think this is better than rushing it and cutting scenes just to fit everything in.

I'll be on the server whenever I'm working on the game now that my PC is not choking it self to death anymore from lack of RAM. 

More RAAAAAAM!

Arrived this morning. That's 16GB per stick. Should help the workflow a bit. I've gone from 98% memory utilization from just rendering with nothing running in the background to 45% while rendering a complex scene, with Photoshop running and Chrome open with several tabs. 

Also helps speed up rendering a tiny bit by throwing out memory optimization out the window and focusing purely on speed. Not as much as a beefy new card with tons of VRAM would, but hey, baby steps....

Concerning tier jumping and hit and running. I expected this and thankfully the majority of Patrons are straight up. But this does still happen. So I'm  gonna clarify a few things and hope it helps it some.
